Firstly the 85 ltd doesnt have carbs its electronic fuel injection.
Could be the throttle postition sensor, vaccum lines running to the efi, or the banks need to be balanced. Simplest thing to check first is that your throttle cable is acutally pulling the throttle body wide open. Decarbonizeing the throttle body may help also. and I run can of sea foam thru my ltd about once every two months to keep injectors etc clean.

Try the easy method first. Run some seafoam through the carbs. Follow directions for mixing it into the gas.
If that doesn't work to fix it, it is time to pull the carbs and clean them meticulously. Don't be surprized if you have to rebuild them or replace a few parts. This could cost you up to $250 per carb.
Or it might cost you the price of a can of carb cleaner. If you have the money, or are too skittish have a pro do the cleaning. If you have a clue and like a challenge, there are many websites that explain to you how to clean your carbs.
Good Luck.

Low charging on 85 goldwing fuel injection

The GL1200 Aspencade fuel injection did not come with fuel injection. But a lot of those bikes have been piced togather from outher bikes.

The entire 1200 goldwing line had stator problems. First thing to check is the 3 yellow wires and the connector they have just to the left of the battery. Most people remove that connection and soder it after testing the stator. There is a complete checklist, along with alternative solutions at http://www.gl1200goldwings.com/ If you own a 1200, that is the best self help site for these bikes.

Where is the tps located at on a 1985 goldwing limited?

It is on the left side at the top behind the rad , it has 3 small screws around it , they have heads that brake off when they are turned in to tork if you know what I mean . To get them out you need very small needle nose vice grips . The TPS is inside that cover.
If you need a new one , you can get one off a honda Civic Fuel injected car they are the same ,just the plug is not the same ,I did that with mine and it works just fine now !

I own a 1985 Honda Aspencade limited edition fuel injection and I need a crank sensor (no more available at dealers) part number 30300-MG9-951 Where I can get it?

Hello,

Most places I get parts from say the part is obsolete but, I found a website that usually carries the part. Click here to go to the web site. The part is currently unavailable, but if you contact them regarding the part, I'm sure that they will be able to help you.

I added a picture of the part, below, to help you determine if it's actually the correct part.

If you find this information useful, please vote. Thank You.

Regards,

Oz
