This is a deceptive little beastie. As you look at the mouse, you will see that the front approximately 1/3 consists of the left and right mouse buttons and the scroll wheel. The rest appears to be a one piece cover with the black area with the GE logo in the middle. There's the tricky part. The black part with the Logo is the housing for the USB plug in part (so you can keep it with the mouse when transporting it). The rest of that (silver on my mouse) is the battery cover. You open it up by gripping the little raised line on each side of the cover and pull backwards while holding the front by the black area under the mouse buttons. The cover (only the silver part, the black is attached to the rest of the mouse) will slide backwards and Voila! There are your batteries.
I have a ge super mini mouse # 99918 and i don't believe mine has a battery. when it is plugged in it doesn't move and the light is blinking red on the mouse. any suggestions?
First shut down your pc.Then I believe it's the top of that mouse you gently press down on it and push it back to change batteries.
Let me know if this helped.
