New battery, Fresh gas. Low mileage on bike. Have let it idle with the choke open for more than 2 minutes with same results. Reducing the choke even a little causes it to die.
I think you are mixed up. The choke is usually closed to start a cold engine and opened once the motor warms up. The choke is closed to restrict the air flow and make the mixture richer in fuel. You can't open a choke that's already open. It's stalling because it's starved of fuel. Either a blockage or the fuel pump is not supplying enough gas.

You are correct about carb dissembling & cleaning bare min drop bowels & carb clean the jets idle & main any adj screws remove & spray out passages. count the turns so to replace screws to same place.. biker bandit may have some dias...

Hmm , sounds like a vacuum leak, check all the hoses, and the rubber intake manifolds and clamps

make certain it has compression and has spark and is getting plenty of fuel and the air filter is clean. clean carbs air filter and fuel filter and new plugs.

Sounds like the starter relay is going out.(It is located right beside the battery)
Please rate this a fixya

just a common thing in cold weather, sometimes you have to ride about 5 miles with choke half out, till the engine warms up. try draining your carbys or cleaning them out, sounds like ti could be running abit lean and not getting enough fuel
