The maintenance service indicator notifies the driver when the next service is due. Approximately one month before the maintenance service is due, the type of maintenance is indicated in the speedometer display. If one large wrench is shown, a minor service (A) is due. Conversely, if two small wrenches are shown, a major service (B) is due. The value shown in the display may reflect the calculated distance (in miles) or time (in days) remaining. When the maintenance service term has been exceeded, this value is preceded by a "-" (minus symbol). Basically it's depend on your mileage and what have been done in previous service, and also need to get workshop code from your car and need to give that workshop code to Mercedes Benz WIS system to get information about your next service and also need to give details about how many km have remain or exceeded from last service and how many days remain or exceeded from last service and what's the oil type using for new service and oil viscosity it's pretty much advance and complicated system, mechanic can decide what's need to be done extra than service information, but must need to carryout as per service scheduled I would like to advise you don't do some thing cheaper it's very important to do right service with right parts for good life of your particular car, then you be happy to drive without any problem, is this information helped you?

You can try to disconnect the battery to clear the system. IF this does not work, You need to have the system reset by Mercedes Benz Dealer or a mechanic who has the system to do that.
