Dodge caravan sport 2001 the brakes and ABS lights come on and off intermittently sometimes staying on for 30 minutes to 45 min. then goes off for a while for like an hr. then the next time it comes on again. I had brakes check by shop that replaced and repaired my brakes they said the brakes were fine practically new because they had just replaced them, also the air bag lights comes on and off like the brakes and ABS lights . THen onetime all the indicator lights lit up and stayed on for 30min. and the speedometer stopped working along with the tachometer as well as the fuel gauge and temp gauge all stop working. The ac switch only worked on one speed, high. I brought it to dealers garage and they fix all other problems except for one. the brakes and ABS lights still coming on . they said that they replaced a module and calibrated gauges or something like that . Can you adviced what you think might be going on here ? Thanks !

    brake trouble light comes on

My 2001 Dodge Caravan Sport has recently (approx. 100,000 mi.) had the brake light come on intermittently (approx 30 min. to 1 hour). A few days later the speedometer went dead for a day or 2 and then suddenly started working again.

Just bought a Chrysler Pacifica 2006 (49,000 miles). Day after I bought it, I have had problems with brake light and ABS light coming on intermittently, and making warning noise. The lights in the van flutter. I also hear a popping noise as if coming from the stereo - but sounds like a rock hitting window. Brought back to dealer, had it for a week and they say when they drive it, it doesn't happen, and none of the tests they run it through show a problem. Very frustrated. (They replaced battery - just got it back today, and it is happening again.)

It is your battery. Replace it and you will be good as new.
It has happened to me 2x now.

The 2001 Chrysler and Dodge minivan's are plagued with wiring issues, specifically in the brake system where it was redesigned, rerouted, and re-engineered SEVERAL times.

You have a wiring issue (likely wire chaffing in the under carriage).

ABS/ Traction control light/BAS & brake light on in 2008 dodge grand caravan

It is safe to drive. You need a scan tool to get a code out of it. Could be as simple as a wheel speed sensor going bad. All of these lights will work together normally. The traction control uses the ABS to gain traction, and the Brake Assist System is part of the stability control. Also uses the ABS.

1999 dodge caravan intermittent instrument cluster

This Seems Indicative Of a Poor Connection AT The CLUSTER Or A Junction Connecter Close to the Cluster. This is Assuming you Have Ruled OUT ALL ABS COMPONENTS, LOOK at These VERY CLOSLY Because of the Small Volts These Wires Carry , the SMALLEST DEFECT WILL Cause this Type of Symptom that you have given. Please try all of the Above, I feel Confedint that athis is where your Problem Is.

Abs and air bag light is on

The ABS stands for (Anti-Lock Brake System). The air bag light or SRS stands for (Supplemental Restraint System). The lights are staying on because there is a problem with both systems. They have nothing in common with each other. I suggest you have this looked at by a professional. Working on the SRS can be hazardous so leave that to a pro.

2000 Dodge Grand Caravan, the ABS light on the dash board goes on and off intermittently. Sometimes it stays on when the vehicle starts and it also will go on and off while driving. What might the problem...

It can be several things the ABS modulator, wheel sensors... I would bring it to the dealer and have them diagnose it, they will then retrieve the Abs DTC that your car is giving and pinpoint the problem, this will probably be cheaper than guessing and hoping replacing things will fix the problem!

Speedometer intermittent and ABS/Brake light stays on

it sounds like it is the speedometer cable that goes from the speedometer gauge to the transmission is wearing out.unless you have done one of these before then i would suggest having someone do it for you.
