After changing my headunit the instrument cluster dash light and gauges have stopped working! The car said no connection go to dealer fuel pressure low and engine management something. Car starts n drives but all electrics including central locking. It's a Alfa 156

If you are talking about a timing chain I think the answer could be no. I have a 2003 Spider 2L JTS which is the same engine as the 2003 156. Before that they had the 2L Twinspark and both have timing belts which need to be replace regularly along with the pulleys and idlers. Much earlier twinspark engines have a timing chain. its worth a try you would be very lucky not to have damaged valves tho. i would fit a new belt and give it a compession test befof i tried to start it
