you may be allright if you use all sensors and external from 95.

ok the nissan altima has the same engine as any nissan 240sx from 92+

its a ka24de engine 2.4liter dual over head cam so if they cant find anything under the altima tell em to check a nissan 240sx of the same year.

as far as the car dieing it could be a few things idle air control valve clogged pcv valve wich is stupid hard to replace i have a 95 altima your almost better off pulling out the entire engine. and other things sorry. I cant assist with your main problem but thought id drop some advice.

you should see a trans stick on either side or very from of engine. Usually yellow and marked on top. However some models come with a little loop of wire not sure on this model but most are the same smaller then oil stick

check to see if the distrubitor rotor is turning

Mine usually stalled coming out the driveway. I went thru replacement of 6 coils and plugs with almost no improvement on my 2000 maxima. Ultimately the mass air flow sensor was replaced. All the engine codes from check engine light would make you think the engine needs overhaul, due to the nature of resultant bad engine performance. You can buy maf sensor $100 online. 5 minutes to install it. I tried cleaning it, but it made no difference until I replaced it. After that it was like 50 more horsepower.

replace the front oil seal. first i would clean the engine with purple power (degrease etc.) then look at the engine and make sure the leak is not coming from above like possibly the valve cover gasket or from the oil sending unit. try to tighten the bolts on the valve cover and even the oil pan. you never know, you may get lucky. i don't know where you are but front seals are cheap but the labor on the job is what costs you.

A timing belt will no blow up the engine, however it will on occasion bend the valves, you will need to replace the belt and test for damage to the engine. Change the water pump and check all the pulleys while you are in there.
