Ilkinshi i have a mini cooper s on a 2007 plate, and the engine seems knocky on tickover, it has 43000 miles on the clock and i have just bought it from mini itself. if press the ecelerator pedal slighty it gets alot quieter.

How many miles are on this vehicle? It might be that the trip meter has turned on. The MINI has certain preset service based on mileage. When the miles reach a certain number, the "engine" light will come on. Oil changes, maintenance markers (45,000-100,000) You will need that OBD2 unit to cancel the notice light. Probably should change the oil, check all other fluids, brake pads & rotors, etc...

to set clock hold switch in for a few seconds and a "12" will appear in the hours place, press the button to cycle through the numbers 'till you have the correct number, then do the same for the minutes...
