I would say the transfer case is hanging up and destroying the motor., and no there are no recalls, maybe technical service letters but these are not recalls.

The recalls you can actually collect on ,are all over the internet
and are govt recalls

The ones you may want, are known only by your dealer
& those slick people won't likely share that with you,but
you can ask them. Go there & get into the actual service bay
& only talk to the service manager,so you avoid the dog &
pony show

You can go to www.recalls.gov to check for recalls.
You can also ask your dealer if there are known problems with this, sometimes there is a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) but not a recall.

There was a TSB, not a recall on this problem. To be sure, calling any gm dealer would require them to tell you.

i'm sorry to hear that, but the only thing i will sujest is to ask the dealer for a recall list for known problems on this voyagers
im one of the best tecnichians here in town but i'm not a ttransmission expert, just find if there is any recalls on your transmission what i doubt, but give it a try, if there is one dealer has to fix it for free
