2001 Dodge Ram Van. The brake lights stopped working.

The brake light at the top works. The flashers work. The tail lights work. It is just the two lights on either side of the van do not come on when I hit the brakes.

How do I fix brake lights on my 2001 Dodge Ram? I have tail lights but no brake lights. I checked the fuse & its not blown.

do the signals lights work at the back if so then it sounds like you have a bad brake light switch or its out of adjustment. the brake lights and the signal lights work the same bulbs but are controlled by different circuits. the switch is located under the dash at the base of the steering colume were the brake pedal pushes against the switch.

Brake, hazard and turnsignals not working, headlights and tail lights work fine

I suggest first check FLASHER unit. On 2001 Dodge Truck RAM 1500 1/2 ton 4WD 5.2L SFI 8cyl the Flasher is located on seating area, driver side, at the left side ofinstrument panel on fuse block.

Hope this helps (remember to rating this free answer and leave a testimonial comment).

2001 dodge 2500. Rear brake lights will not work. Center brake light works, blinkers, flashers and tail lights work. No fuses blown.

obviously first check the bulbs. If they are fine, check that a brake light connector is not diconnected. I have seen it once. The connector was used to power an accesory on the rear instead. Also, the connector or bulb sockets could be rusted or loosly connected. Hope this helps.

Would a blown fuse be the cause of a Dodge 1500 losing tail light

Hello. Definitely check the fuses, but also check the ground for the lights in the rear end as your symptoms could also be the result of a poor ground.

if it has a trailer package look at the splitter when you take off the tail light cover might be that plug.

2001 dodge ram 1500 brake lights

I would guess the brake fuse ( this does not use the same fuse as the tail lights/blinkers) or the ground for the brake light bulb.
