Engine oil light lit up and says Dist:3750mi

when it is lit it means you should shut your engine down and check your oil level before driving any further unless you have lots of money to pay for engine repairs.

The Check Engine tells you that something is wrong about your ride. Get your ride check for error code and take necessary steps to resolve the issue. Also you can post the error codes so that we can help you to solve the issue. Battery light lit means that your battery needs to be charged or the electrolyte in the battery is low. Also it can be possible that the battery needs replacement. Last the oil light alerts you to change the engine oil. The engine oil prevents the engine components from wearing due to friction and suppresses the heat generation keeping the metal parts in proper working condition.

Can you see the part from the whole where the distributor goes ?
If you can you may be able to fish it out.
Your distributor has a drive shaft that goes from the dist to the oil pump in the oilpan.
Hopefully it is sitting on top of the shaft.
Their are know oil lines at the bottom of you engine, everything is internal.
If you cant fish them out from the top, the oilpan will have to be removed.
I think your best bet is to try to remove the pieces from the dist hole with a magnet on a shaft or maybe very sticky tape on a shaft.

it being plastic it might float and block an oil line id drop the oil pan and get it out its a pain staking process

if you didnot mark rotor orientation before removing pyt engine on top dead center # 1 cyl line roter up to #1 plugwire post on dist cap with a light look down the shaft bore for a slot that matches the end of dist shaft if they do not match p[osition get a long screw driver an turn the shaft in engine until they do then drop dist you may have to turn the rotor backwards about a tooth when you start to drop whn the cam and dist gears mesh it will line up oil pump drive shaft to dist shaft

• The light on the left side of the instrument panel is a maintenance required light. If that is the light lit up then yes this means time for an oil change.
• If the light lit up is on the right side of the instrument panel then this is the Check Engine Light and a scan will need to be done to see what is going on with the car.

If its reading low oil pressure I would first change your oil and filter.A clogged oil filter will cause your oil pressure to drop.Also remove your pressure sending unit and hook up a direct oil pressure guage to see what your actual pressure is.Its very possible that your oil pump could be bad.Those would be the most probable reasons for low oil pressure.The engine shut down means that your your engine has a fail safe to protect your motor from blowing up.

Check your oil level, if your oil level is good. Then you may have a bad oil pump and your going to have to tear the engine apart to replace it, but if you think you have done damage to the engine from running it dry of oil. Replace the engine, the cost will be cheaper to replace the engine with a used one from a salvage yard then to replace the bad oil pump in you engine since your bearings may be damaged.

It sounds like you may not have enough oil in your engine to maintain the proper pressure. You should check your oil level as you may have a leak. When you come to a stop, if you give it a bit of gas and the light goes off, it definitely means there's a problem with the pressure. Look around the engine for signs of oil. (one area people often forget to check is right where the engine connects to the transmission) Also if your exhaust smoke is bluish, then you're burning oil which means you're leaking it into the combustion chambers.

Yellow oil can lit means you need to top up the oil. Red oil can means you have lost oil pressure.
