2003 Caravan Idle/Stall

It usually happens first thing in the morning. The idle will go up and down and sometimes stall at stoplights or even when running in park. After driving a few miles the problems seems to go away.

Sounds like to me your throttle positioning sensor is not set right. Try adjusting it or maybe a friend or take to a local mechanic.

Our 1995 Dodge caravan starts fine dies.

Do the following

Here are the most common causes of idle surge, stalls at stops, slow idle speed, erratic idle speed, rough idle and engine hesitation (and other problems), it is in most cases the idle speed control air-bypass valve and or throttle valve and upper intake, these area's get full of gunk and combustion residue over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake

you must have a OBS2 scan and get the code for further help.
it can be a number of things.
go to autozone and see if they will scan it for you
as of the oil light when your engine Begin's to stall it will cause it to come on.
post some more info when you get the scan

okay, the o2 code can cause problems, theres a problem with one of the o2 sensors, theres 2 or 4 sensors, the repair was not done right or theres another bad o2 sensor, next thing i would check is the idle air control motor, this sounds like it sticks at time or just stops working, start with these things first,

Often a sign of a thermostat that's duff. Usually will also show on bad economy.

Sometimes can also happen if your battery is nearly dead, as it can put load on the engine.

Rough idle, stalling, cruise control out

Sounds like you have a vacuam leak.
Check the vacuom hose to the cruise canister........and work yuor way back to the source. I'll bet you find a hose off. Also, listen for any "hissing" sounds (obviously, not the carb).
Bet that solves ALL your probs.

Low idle and stall when warm 1991 nissan 2.4 l d21 4 cy 2 wd

I feel the codes may be the answer here, idle should be around 8-900 rpm. There are a lot of possibilities for this kind of issue and the codes would be a great place to start.
