Good day. Is there a way to fix a stuck valve on a opel utility 1.4i ?.Or must i prepare for open hart surgery lol.

There are two types of valve tappet adjustments. Generic information only because 1.4 Utility isn't a model name or designation.

Petrol or diesel? If it's the petrol model.....these cars have known issues with their IAC valve (idle air control valve). It's situated just before the butterfly on the intake manifold. Usually black plastic with 3 wire plug connection. They control the idling by controlling the amount of air bypassing the butterfly at idle speeds. Sometimes you can fix it by removing the unit and spray it with lubricant and cleaning it. Best way is to just replace it.

The cause of high idle are vacuum leaks or a bad or dirty Idle air control. Check pcv valve to see if its working properly. pinch off the hose that supplies the PCV valve. The engine speed should drop slightly. If the engine returns to a normal idle speed, the PCV valve should be replaced. The Idle air control regulates engine rpms.

check compression

Unplug electrical connection to valve. Unbolt old one, remove, attach new one, bolt up. Reattach electrical connector.

Suggest you get a workshop manual, they are cheap enough on eBay

Switch is broken, contacts stuck together. Is it Opel or Chevy ?
