Which wires go together to show mileage on a 1998 Nissan Frontier Manual Speedometer with tach?

Hi Wendy. My name is Tim Dorton, I was a Nissan Senior Tech. The Frontier manual and auto transmissions are the same as far as the odometer is concerned. The computer uses the signal from the speed sensor to control the cruise control, speedometer, and determine mileage. Does the speedometer and cruise control work? If so the the problem is most likely in the guage cluster. Here is the wiring from the speed sensor.z+elqmx9ihycqaaaabjru5erkjggg==

Odometer light

look in the fuse box and find the fuse marked gauges. if it has a breaker instead of a fuse there will be a small black reset button on the top of what looks like a silver fuse.just push the button to reset and check your lights or replace the fuse with the same type. also check to see if your dash light dimmer switch is working properly.

Need a wiring schematic for 1998 nissan frontier cluster

i tried to find one until i was blue in the face. i finally talked to Andrew from DNA speedometers in Tampa. they were fast and have great service it cost $139 plus $10 to ship to Hawaii. He truly is the best way to fix that issue BTW- they won't do anything if you have opened it up yourself

All of a sudden my speedometer and my gas gauge quit working

If it would of been only your speedometer I would of tell you to replace your speed sensor. But in this case you gas gauge stopped working as well so I would recommend taking your whole cluster to a mechanic he will try to fix those two items, otherwise you will need to replace the whole cluster, same thing happened to me. Good luck
