I have a 2001 dodge ram 1500.I just changed motors from a 360 to a 318 now my running lights stay on.as soon as I hook the battery up the running lights stay on until the fuse blows.

Throttle position senser might be going bad. I had in the same problem in my truck. It wouldn't stay running unless I had my foot on the gas and as soon as I let off, it would die. Try it. The sensers are relatively cheap at Auto Zone or somewhere similar. Around 30 bucks.
Sounds like you blew a fuse or 2. Disconnect the socket you just replaced , replace any bad fuses and check. If it works, be sure you are hooking the new socket up correctly.
