The driver side window wont come up

Can be lots of things. If you don't open the door, to see what god on, you won't find out. Could be from a loose screw, to a broken gear or some other things. You have the car close bye an you can look in it. We have to guess. Most guesses will be wrong, an anyway if you want to solve the problem, you have to open the door anyway. Or just bring it to a repaire shop.

Bmw 2002x5 my driver side window is not working do i need to replace the regulator or the motor ???as there is a price difference for the part of about 50 pounds

You will have to check the voltage of the motor. With the window switch depressed check the voltage at motor. It should give 12 volts. If there is no voltage, then its motor causing the problem. But if there is proper voltage, then its regular causing the problem. Also check and confirm, the window switch is receiving the voltage and switch wirings are intact and not getting loose. In the regulator there are metal brackets, they tend to get bend and this blocks the motor from running. So check the brackets too.If they are bent, then get it straightened.-------------If the regulator checked faulty, worn out bent ten it has to be replaced.-----------

My drivers side window will roll down but not up. is the window regulator going bad

No the window regulator is not going bad in most cases, but to make a final determination of what the cause is, answer this, does the window make any attempt to roll up? if not then the switch is defective, if it does try to move lubricate the window channel's with dry Graphite spray and see if that eases the roll up problem.

How do I replace the window motor on a 1995 mazda 626? What are the steps to replacing the motor/regulator?

Glass & Regulator
  1. Lower the window glass and remove the inner handle cover, door lock knob (if necessary), the window regulator handle and the door trim panel.

On vehicles with power windows, disconnect the wiring couplings.

  1. Carefully peel off the door screen so that it can be reused.
  2. Replace the window regulator handle and position the door glass so that the door glass installation bolts can be removed from the service hole.
  3. Remove the door glass installation bolts.
  4. Remove the door glass. Remove the regulator installation bolts, and then remove the regulator through the service access hole. Remove the window motor mounting bolts and separate the motor from the regulator.
  5. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. If the vehicle is equipped with power windows, connect the leads of the motor to a battery and run the regulator to the down position before installing the motor. Cycle the window several times to make sure that everything is in good working order.

How to relace power window motor

Motor
  1. Raise the window glass to the full-up position if possible. If the glass cannot be raised and is in a partially down or full-down position, it must be supported so that it will not fall into the door well when removing the window motor.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the door trim panel and watershield.
  4. Detach the window motor harness connector.
WARNING

If the front door power window regulator counterbalance spring must be removed or replaced for any reason, make sure that the front door power window regulator arms are in a fixed position prior to removal to prevent possible injury during c-spring unwind.

To install:

  1. Position the window motor to the power window regulator. Install the three screws snugly but do not tighten all the way.

you will need to drill out some rivets. Replace with ntus and bolts and washers & lock washers. Make sure they don't hit glass going up and down. Otherwise you will need a heavy duty riveter.
