Where is timing mark do I need to un hook or unwire
Timing is set when engine is built. timing can be adjusted by turning the distributor to fine tune it. The marks are on the crank pulley. If you clean it up a bit before you start they may be easier to see. It would be exponentially helpful if you had provided model and engine.
There are more than one 1990 Honda engines. Civic, Si, Accord, Prelude, Then there are also a multitude of small engines like generators and motorcycles.
I guess I should just be able to guess what engine you need help with.
I think that you have to ground the blue wire from the harness to check the timing with AC off if it is a Civic with a d15 engine. Engine should go through three cycles of the cooling fan on and off to be sure it is properly heated for tuning. You can also bleed the air from the coolant after that third cycle which will help keep your idle correct since it is partially controlled by coolant temperature. There is a small bleeder valve on the water neck in most of those models if it is a civic.
Good luck.

hi i have a diagram of it here and as far as i can see the marks on the twin cams are actually aligned with the top of the cover edge there should be an arrow on each cam pulley, that is pointing upwards, and you should have 2 marks either side horizontal and line up with the cover , the bottom crank pulley has a v cut out which lines up with a mark which is a angled line on the engine cover my picture may be different from your one if you want you can email me i will send you it so you compare it to your one
