SOURCE: my driver side seat will not move forward or backward

Can you hear the motor turn when trying to go back and forth? If not, motor may be faulty or bad relay in the wiring to that motor.
If you hear motor and seat doesn't move, then the motor may have fallen off track

SOURCE: Hi everyone I own a CLK200 Kompressor 2002

First try as fallow, get in to the seat, then keep tight your foot on floor and give a good press backward to the seat and operate the seat switch towards back, just release and do it again keep going that way it will start to move back words, if it start to move do it few time and do it every time you get in to the car at least two time per day continue it for one week, It will be OK otherwise need chassis no for more information,

SOURCE: c320 rear seat belt stuck

Unfortunetly the only repair for that issue is to replace the complete seat belt mechanism. Basically the internal winding mechanism has gone out and will not retract the seat belt.

The rear drivers side passenger seat in my Mercedes 2004 ml350 is stuck down...how do get it to come back up. very little room to work

Not an easy task. You likely have one of 2 problems. If center seat belt is in the seat that is down, it may be locked. If so, you need to remove the seat back cover then the seat belt retractor. You can then position the seat belt retractor upright (how it sits when the seat is up) and pull the seat belt out making slack to raise the seat. This only happens if the either the stop on the seat belt is broken or the seat belt guide on the seat back is broken. If that's not the problem, you likely have a release cable that has come loose under the seat. If you look at the half that works, you can determine what you need to move on the locked seat and try to get to it with a long tin screwdriver or similar implement.

I have an 03 lincoln navigator the driver seat wont go forward or backward it can only go up and down, but every time touch the switch i hear a click, what can be my problem and what can be done to solve...

Most Ford products are designed so the seat belt latch by the center console moves with the seat. The bottom of the latch rides on the seat rail, and with time sometimes it builds up a little play on the rail. As the seat moves forward or back, the seat belt guide often tilts forward or back, just a bit, on the rail, and gets stuck. So you can move forward or back just a bit, but then it jams and you can hear the motor, but can go no further.

The long term fix is to remove the seat, disassemble the seat belt guide and rail, and usually replace some parts.

But the short term solution is often to simply hold on to the seat belt latch and rock it forward and away from the seat as you try to go forward or back. Or, sometimes it works best to rock it backwards and away from the seat as you try to move forward or back. It all depends on which way it is binding.

There's no guarantee that it won't jam again if you move it all the way back or forward, but once you find the right position to hold the seat latch in while moving the seat, you should be able to re-adjust it where you need it to be.

My Rear middle seat belt is in the lock position and will not pull out to use. I put the seat down to haul something and when i put the seat back up the seat belt is so tight it is pulling the seat...

you need the car on level ground and try to take tension off the side that retracts however you can. hold it there a few seconds and try to slowly move the belt. good luck

Seat belt on rear seat has jammed

This happens to me also. To solve the problem you need to un-bolt the seat belt clip. A bit tricky when the bench is tight down, but get a friend to hold it up out of the way as much as possible. This will relieve the tension and allow the seat belt to return to normal. To prevent this in future, pull the seat belt out and clip it in to place before lowering the back bench. This allows enough slack on the seat belt tensioner to stop the problem from happening again.

Rear seat down and wont go back up; locked middle belt

middle seat belt shouldn't have anything to do with it. The seat locks down for stowage in the rear cargo area. you can pull the release handle on the back of the seat to release it back into the up position.

My rear seat belts have locked with the seat in the down position

I had the same problem. I unscrewed the seat belt from the floor board. That eased the tention and the belts released.

Saturn vue 2007, rear folding seat will not return to proper position due to seat belt being locked up.

They have a problem with the seatbelt retractor getting jammed up causing the belt to jam & not let the rear seat fold back up.The easiest way to get the seat back up is to cut the seatbelt & fold up the seat. Then the rear seat needs to be disassembled to gain access to the seatbelt retractor assy which has the seat belt made on.Hopefully it's still under warranty or Ext. warranty.hope this helps

Rear seat tumbled forward for more room in back and seat belt jamed. now back seat can not go back into position.

To fix that scenario, I have to get to the bolts anchoring the seat belt which can be found under the rear seat. Which a socket wrench, remove the bolt freeing the seatbelt to allow you room to release the lock to pull the belt out from the top of the back seat. You may now push the back seat into its upright position and then refasten the seatbelts with the bolt to it's former position under the back seat.

When I in later times need to lower the back seat, I will either loop the seatbelt around the head rest or tie two belts together allowing for slack in case the belt tightens again when trying to move the seat back to its original position.

.....Very frustrating!!!
