How to enter the radio code

Step 1: Look at your radio. Check and see if the code "RDS" is written on the face of the radio. If "RDS" is present, contact a GM dealership to have your radio unlocked by them.
Step 2: Check for the identification code. Press buttons 2 and 3 for 8-10 seconds. If a code does not appear on the display, you won't be able to unlock your radio in this manner.

In order to obtain your radio unlock code, you need to find your radio's serial number. You can get the radio serial number directly from your radio.
Step 1: Turn on the ignition. Turn the key to "accessory" mode or "on" mode.
Step 2: Turn on the radio. Press the power button to turn on the radio.
If your radio displays any functions such as playing a CD, cassette, or a radio station, your radio is not locked. If no sound is heard, you may need to replace your radio unit.
If your radio is locked, "LOC" is displayed on the screen.
If "INOP" is displayed, keep your ignition on for 60 minutes with "INOP" on the display. After the hour is up, it should change to "LOC." After this you can proceed with the next step.
Step 3: Write down the code. Press buttons 2 and 3 at the same time and hold for 8-10 seconds. Write down the three-digit code that is displayed.
Step 4: Note down the code. Immediately press the AM/FM button. Another three-digit code is displayed. Write it down as well.
This is your six-digit radio serial number.

Now that you have your radio's serial number, you can obtain the radio unlock code from General Motors. Be ready with a pen and paper to write down your radio unlock code.
Step 1: Contact the GM radio hotline. From any landline or cell phone, call the toll-free GM Radio hotline at 1(800) 537-5140.
Step 2: Enter the code. When it requests a code, enter "106010" on the keypad, followed by the pound (#) sign.
Step 3: Enter the radio serial number. You will be prompted to enter the radio serial number you have just obtained.
At the prompt, enter the number followed by the pound sign.
Step 4: Write down the radio unlock code. The prompt will read out your four-digit radio unlock code. Write it down precisely.

Now that you've obtained your Chevrolet radio unlock code, you need to enter it into your radio.
Step 1: Switch on the radio. Turn your ignition on and press the radio power button. Your radio will display "LOC."
Step 2: Enter the first two digits of the radio unlock code. Press the hour button on the radio to enter the first two numbers of your radio unlock code.
Continue pressing the button repeatedly until the first two digits of the radio unlock code are displayed.
Step 3: Enter the last two digits of the unlock code. Press the minute button until the last two numbers of the radio unlock code are displayed.
Repeatedly press until they match the two digits you need.
Step 4: Confirm the code. When the code matches, press the AM/FM button. "SEC" will display on the radio, indicating a successful attempt to enter your radio code.
If you enter the code incorrectly eight times, the display will switch from "LOC" to "INOP." You'll need to leave the ignition on for an hour as described in Part 2 before you can retry.
Write the radio unlock code in a safe place such as in your owner's manual for future use.
Most car dealers will charge you a lot of money just to get the code for you. If you follow the right steps, you can get the code for free and be able to start listening to the radio again in just a few minutes!

If you have radio code. You need to plug out your radio or take of battery for 1 min. and then enter the unlock code.

Instructions:

1. If your radio displays the word LOC, you can retrieve a set of factory numbers in the radio that enable you to get a backup unlock code. If the radio says INOP, you will have to leave the key in the "ON" position, or let the car run for at least 1 hour before you attempt any unlock procedure. INOP means a secondary theft lock due to too many false attempts to unlock the radio.
2. Looking at the face of your GM Delco radio, hold down the preset buttons 1 & 4 OR 2 & 3 (Depending on year and model) for approximately 10 seconds or until a set of 2 or 3 numbers comes up on the display. Write the numbers down.
3. Next press the AM / FM button. A new set of 3 numbers will now show. Write these numbers down. You will then need to call a 1-800 phone number with these numbers to get the unlock code. There are many sites on the internet that can get it for you- for a small fee. Or, try calling your local GM Dealer and ask for them to do it. Many times they will do it for free. It only takes a minute.
4. Once you have the unlock code, enter it by pressing the MIN button until the display shows the last 2 digits of the unlock code, then press the HR button until the first 2 numbers or shown. Then press the AM / FM button to enter the code. The radio will now display SEC, and normal function is restored.

GM cars contain Delco radios that are protected by Theftlock, which locks the radio after it has been disconnected from a power source. Iit can only be reset and unlocked with a car-specific security code. Identifying the security code for your GM vehicle is the only way to reset the car radio and disable the Theftlock protection device.

Instructions:

1. Turn on your car. Your Delco radio will show "LOC" in the LED display.
2. Press and hold down both the second and third preset buttons. Hold these buttons down for at least six seconds.
3. Write down the two- or three-digit code that appears in the LED display.
4. Press the AM/FM button on the radio.
5. Write down the next two- or three-digit code that appears in the LED display. You should be left with either a four- or six-digit number. Turn off your car.
6. Call the Delco radio automated customer support line at 1-800-537-5140.
7. Press "1" and then press the pound sign. The automated voice should respond "Invalid code, try again."
8. Enter the number 139010 into your phone and then press the "*" sign.
9. Enter the four- or six-digit number you wrote down from Steps 3 and 5, and then press the "*" button.
10. Write down the four-digit code given by the automated voice.
11. Turn on your car. Enter the Delco unlock code using the procedure outlined by your GM owner's manual. Normally, the unlock code is entered with the "HR" and "MN" buttons on your radio.
12. Press the AM/FM button. If you have entered the code correctly, your LED display will read "SEC" and the radio will be unlocked.

Unless you had replaced the BCM on your Aztek there is no reason you will need a code to unlock your radio. You can not unlock the radio by just entering a code. The dealer has to program it and it is done threw the internet. Approx $95.00 will program your Aztek.

if you have your code and need to know how to enter the code , it should be as follows .

Unlock procedure for six digit codes. Push the "Hr" button, 000 will appear in display. Press the hour button until you match the first number of your unlock code. For second two digits of unlock code press the "Min" button until numbers match. When first three digits of unlock code is entered into display, push the AM/FM button. Repeat the above process for second set of three numbers of unlock code.
