2007 Quest: The passenger side sliding door will not open

The body control module is responsible for controlling various electrical functions in a vehicle, including door locks. Removing the 50-amp fuse could have caused the module to reset, which may have resulted in the driver side door becoming locked.
To resolve the issue, try the following steps:

1. Turn the vehicle off and remove the key from the ignition.
2. Close all doors, including the driver side door.
3. Lock the vehicle using the key or remote.
4. Wait for a few seconds, then unlock the vehicle using the key or remote.
5. Check if the driver side door is unlocked. If not, try using the key or remote to lock and unlock the door again.

If the above steps do not work, there may be a problem with the body control module or the door lock actuator. In this case, it is recommended to consult a certified mechanic for further assistance.

Is there a switch that turns off the sliding door switches? It is usually next to the door switches. Its possible that the detailer was trying to turn off the interior lights to keep from running the battery down and inadvertantly turned the switches off. My Caravan and my Olds Silhouette had this feature. Next check the fuse (s). If not I would suspect that possibly some type of cleaner or protectant may have gotten sprayed into the switches..

Remotes do go bad. Locate another one on the web. Do a search " remote for 2007 Nissan Quest".

Check the door switches

open the front door...
now you have to push the locking rod towards the rear so you can open the sliding door from the inside
just follow the B pillar down and use the passenger side as reference of that black rod

the child lock rod may have been extended...
open the driver side door, and with a skinny finger, push that child lock rod back in towards the rear of the sliding door
use the passenger side as reference
once you pushed it in, you can now open it from the inside handle

If it will not open or close using the remote and all other functions of the rmote work then it is likely to be the remote receiver inside the door behind the door liner. If it will not open or close using the handles the coupler may not be fastened that goes to the motor behind the right side liner. Or the motor may be bad. If you turn the doors off using the switch at the drivers left side and they still won't open or close check to see if the door is still on the rollers and not jammed up. The power motor may have gone bad or it may need to have the cable tension adjusted.

Either it has rusted up or the mechcanisim has been bent,take door panel off check it out if rusted use some wd40 work lock untill it moves.
