95 honda passport heater does not work. Fan turns on but no heat. No clue what it could be. I noticed the problem after I had a radio installed and the automatic transmission rebuilt.

May be in the radio installation. I hate pointing fingers at the last guy who worked on stuff, but they could have hit a blend door.

When car is warmed up, turn heat on vent and like 3/4 power for fan. Turn temp knob from hot to cold. You are looking for a temperature change. Now, turn on a/c to vent. Wait for it to blow cold. Turn temp knob to hot. Looking for air to be warmer that it was. POST RESULTS

There is no noticeable change in temp at all. Maybe ill uninstall the radio and check it again to see if maybe something happens then.

If it was professionally installed, take it back there, don't touch it.

SOURCE: fanbelt diagram for 98 honda passport

Check carefully under the hood. There should be a sticker under the hood in the engine compartment with a diagram of the belt routing. If you can't find it, check your owners manual (if u still have it), if all this fails, ask where u purchased the new belt, they would have access to that info. Good luck!

SOURCE: how to fill automatic transmission on '97 Honda Passport 4X4

There is a metal fitting bolt close to the bottom of the transmission. You can unscrew that out and if transmission fluid comes out it's good. If this doesn't occur you'll have to get a pump and pump transmission fluid in it. This is the easiest with a lift of course. Don't you hate stupid Japanese ideas. Good luck man

SOURCE: I have a 1996 Honda passport with automatic

There is NO DIPSTICK in the engine compartment.

On the side of the transmission, there are two plugs. You remove both plugs and fill one side with fluid, (not sure which side), until the fluid comes out the other drain plug hole.

One is lower than the other. Open the lower plug hole. If fluid begins to come out, then it's full.

I would suggest to leave it alone unless you suspect a real problem Do you see trans fluid on your driveway ? etc:

Reports indicate, do not leave trans fluid change too long for this vehicle. Check you hand book for proper interval.

SOURCE: Where to check transmission fluid on honda

checking the transmission fluid of the honda passport is not an easy job. the cap is located at top of the transmission, determining the fluid level is by feel.

My 2000 honda passport heater doesn't work

If the engine is reaching normal temp, and both heater hoses are hot, you may have a problem with a blend door under the dash.

Make sure your fan is working properly. When you turn on the heater you are forcing the fan to cool the radiator. It may not be turning on automatically when it is supposed to. Let us know if this helps..

My 1995 Honda passport blow cold air from heater I had thormostat and coolant replace and nothing still cold air what can I do to correct it?

the engine is working fine, there is no heat. the coolant is not circulating into and out of the heater core. so you have a circulation problem.

1) there is an air bubble in the core,
2) there is a bad valve in the heater hose operated by the switch which turns the heat on,
3) or the heater core is plugged.

work on those , probably the last one as it is most expensive and difficult to repair.

check the fuses than check for power and ground at the blower motor plug with the engine running and the switch on high. if you have power and ground replace the blower motor. somtimes the blower motor resistor fails too but than the blower usually only works on high. I replaced 1 of each this week.

95 Honda Passport Heater/AC Fan stopped blowing

Fan motors are vulnerable to junk falling into vents, fluff and debris being sucked in with air, as well as mice dragging nesting material in and setting up house inside squirrel cage. THis happens alot. Also, fans usually have a clip of some sort that has been added at one spot around the edge to balance the wheel during rotation. If this clip falls off, or an object causes a crack, or debris falls into the fan housing, the resulting imbalance will make noise! Fans are also easy to remove and check for trash or damage. Remove the fan motor and inspect for these or any other faults. COuld be a worn shaft bearing that's causing the vibration or rumble. Should be able to lay fan in floorboard, plug in and turn on. Hold the edge of the fan to stabilize it, and observe its operation out of the housing if no defects are found visually. Hope this helps you. TT
