SOURCE: burning smell coming from my 2003 jeep liberty

I would take it to a shop right away. Do you see any fluids on the ground after you park or are you low on coolant or oil? This could be a electrical problem on its own. If you don't know what your doing don't go messing around with it.

SOURCE: Does 2004 Mazda MPV ES equip with a cabin air filter?

(cabin filter solution) Their is an cabin airfiliter behind the glove compartment (2004 mazda mpv) which is very easy to take off. Replace the airfilter or clean it with soap and water. Open the glove box and on the bottom left had side of the glove box if you apply enough presure on it by pulling it out towards you and slightly down it should pop off. The right side should slide out immediately following the left side pop. All it is, is a fork like claw holding on to a bar. On the ride side is a bar sliding into a hole. That should do the trick. After the first time its a sinch.

What causes smoke to come through the vents on a 2004 Jeep Liberty 5 speed manual 3.7L engine?

It will most likely be whisps of steam you see through the vents often accompanied with sweet smell. The heater core is usually the culprit and is leaking. Any coolant stains/wet marks on the passenger floor. Does the windshield fog up when on defrost. All signs of a leaky heater core

Smelling antifreeze through the vents of my 2004 jeep liberty not strong and then it goes away

If you smell antifreeze from the vents the heater core is leaking, you will most likely also have residue on the inside on the windshield

Replaced a resistor in chrysler 2004 town and country, now weird smell whe defroster is on... The front vents wouldnt blow out any air, just quit working. The rear vents worked fine. Now strange smell...

Pull the blower motor out and clean out the leaves and other vegetable matter that has gotten in there, it is burning off on the very hot blower motor resistor coils

Smokes from under hood

First you have to identify the source of the leak. Check the valve cover gaskets if leaking excessively they can leak on to the exhaust where the oil would burn and cause it to smoke and smell. It can also coat the O2 sensor and cause the check engine light to come on.

Smell of burning oil out of heater vents

Have you checked under the hood,Mark? The heater commonly pulls outside air thru the vents and can get air coming up from the engine,so I'd look for a smell outside the car, under the hood.Let me know what you find.
You can alleviate it some by using the recycle air button on your heater, but you need to find the source quickly,so you don't have a fire. don-ohio (:^)

Jeep 2005 liberty. When I drive my jeep more than 30 miles lots of smoke and burning smell come out. The weird thing is that the oil meter is not indicating it is hot.

Hello....

Sounds like you might have a blown valve cover gasket. That is were I recommend you to start checking. If that is good, check for a leak around the intake manifold.

Good Luck...

2004 Jeep Liberty it pasing oil an prestone that just apend onse

is it leaking, or burning in the combustion chamber? Comming out the tail pipe? Blue smoke is oil, white smoke is water, black smoke is carbon. Smell your exaust; smell like "prestone"? Does the engine over heat? My guess would be a bad head gasket. Is the oil a light brown color?
