How do you access bolts to starter ?

It seems that the bolts that hold starter on my 1998 nissan altima are in a very hard to find location?are their helpful ideas

You'll need to block the rear tires and jack the car front end up on a hard surface and set it on jack stands. Then you get to crawl under the vehicle.

How many bolts are on the starter to remove it

there are two bolts that hold it in, just remove the battery negitive terminal then remove wires from starter then remove the bolts and out it comes good luck.

Where is 97 Nissan Altima starter

The starter is located between the engine and the firewall. Behind the engine. The easy way to get to it is by going underneath the car. Make sure you do this safely using jack stands and wheel blocks. The starter is bolted to the transmission housing.

The starter is located on the transmission. It is near the fire wall mounted in the transmission. You will have to remove the air cleaner housing to get to it. It is held in with two bolts.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle safely.
  3. Remove the starter support bracket, as required.
  4. Label and disconnect the starter electrical harness.
  5. Support the starter from beneath the vehicle using a jackstand.
  6. Remove the starter mounting bolts.
  7. Carefully lower the starter from the vehicle.
To install:
  1. Position the starter on the engine and support it using a jackstand.
  2. Install the starter mounting bolts and tighten to 30-37 ft. lbs. (40-50 Nm).
  3. Connect the starter electrical harness.
  4. Install the starter support bracket, as required.
  5. Lower the vehicle.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.

How to change the starter of my Nissan Altima

Thats a simple on...

Disconnect battery

Take wires off starter

Take bolts out of starter holding it to block.

Pull starter out.

Reverse to reinstall new starter.

1995 Altima Starter Replacement

HELLO THIS WOULD BE EASIER TO TAKE IT OUT FROM THE BOTTOM I REMOVED ONE FROM MY MOTHERS CAR AND IS WAS REALLY NOT TO BAD IT WILL TAKE A LITTLE TIME ABOUT 45 MINUTES JUST BE PATIENCE BUT YOU WILL GET IT NOW ONCE YOU HAVE IT LOOSE AND READY TO TAKE OUT YOU WILL HAVE TO MOVE IT AROUND A LITTLE SO IT WILL DROP DOWN YOU WILL HAVE TO WATCH FOR WIRES AND THE WIRE HARNESS NOW PUTTING IT BACK IN JUST MOVE THE STARTER AROUND A LITTLE BIT IN BETWEEN THE WIRE HARNESS AND OR WIRES AND IT WILL GO IN PLACE AND THEN BOLT IT UP

Replacing a starter for a 1999 Altima

  1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
  2. Disconnect starter wiring from starter.
  3. Remove starter retaining bolts and the starter.
  4. Reverse procedure to install.
the bolts should be on the drivers side.
you will have to crawl underneath the car to do this task
