I have a 1996 nissan sentra. The wiper blades do not park when turned off all so when I try to use the intermittint setting they stop at diffrent points for about thirty secounds then start up again for about one swipe then stop again. They do this repeatedly. Is this a motor or switch problem?

I had the same problem a few months ago on my 96 Nissan. There is a relay switch on the passenger side of the car, you will have to remove the glove box that controls the wipers on the intermittent speeds. I also replaced the wiper motor to fix the positioning of the wiper blades when they weren't in the correct position.

I would suspect the switch, buy one from a salvage yard and try it first.

Find the big hose that comes out of the top of the radiator and follow it to the engine and that is where the thermostat is located. My advice is to be sure to get a factory thermostat and rubber gasket as it makes installation much easier. I have done it both ways and the factory one is easier to install.

03 sentra wiper wont stop speed control works

There is malfunction in your wiper motor parking mechanism. Most likely replace the motor assembly, if not able to repair internal mechanism.

Wiper arm slips on shaft after tighting on 1996 sentra

you may have a bad set of splines either on the wiper transmission arm that the wiper arm attaches to or the splines in the wiper arm were it makes contact with the attaching point that you tighten.look closely as if these splines are bad it won`t matter how tight it is it will slip.you may have to get a new wiper arm(or used)or replace the wiper transmission depending what you find.assuming of course you mean the wiper will not move at the speed it should be compared to the other arm

The wipers quit working on my 1996 nissan sentra. I replaced the wiper motor but now they only go down all the way sometimes. What would be the problem?

from what your describing i would think there is a problem with the park position switch in the replacement motor....just because its new doesnt always mean its good.

My wipers just stop working and i got stuck in the pouring rain i hear the motor making noise but the blades are not moving what is why

There is a plastic 'thingie' that connects the motor to the arms that move the wiper blades. Your 'thingie' broke. Get a replacement at the Auto Parts store for about $6.00

97 nissan sentra windshield wiper linkage arm disconnected

Most likely you will have to replace the wiper linkage from the center pivot to the left or drivers-side wiper pivot. The plastic piece in the linkage gets brittle over time and breaks down. To save a hassle in the future, replace both linkages. It should be under $20.00 for parts.
