take starter off prop in a vice and hook up battery to see if spins up could be brand new faulty starter i seen that before!!!!while your at it see if you can turn the engine pully to see if seized or not!these are all what i would do!!!also why did you changer starter to begin with???

if the clicking noise is at the starter and the battery is good then it sounds like the starter solenoid or the starter itself will need to be replaced.if you try tapping the starter when someone tries starting it and it starts then you will need to replace the starter motor.

Sounds like a classic case of a dead battery. It takes much less energy to sweep the gauges and turn on the lights than it does to crank the engine over. The clicking noise is usually your starter solenoid trying to engage and spin the starter. Try a new battery. Happy motoring.

Eather your bendex is not kicking out from the starter into the flywheel, Or it is possible you have a few teeth missing on the flywheel. Most likely it is the starter bendex spring not engageing
