99 saturn sc2 will not start

99 Saturn SC2 person was installing radio, car was starting fine as we kept turning key to see if radio worked. never got radio to work and found 3 fuses blown non of which had to do with ignition..... So now car wont start, replaced battery, disconnect shut off gadget from car dealer and re-connected wires to ignition switch.......... "still wont start" We have power to all dash lights, head lights and every thing else when key is turned start position.... however seems as if nothing is going to starter or something???? So now were told we may need to replace starter??? I felt it may be the iginition switch because it could just be the on tab which sends power to starter is fried??? ANYONE GOT AN ANSWER OR SUGGESTION PLEASE

SOURCE: saturn sc2 wont start

You most likely have a burnt terminal in your Inside fuse block.Easiest way to check this is to remove the console trim panel next to the drivers side front of console, just pulls loose. Then while trying to start the engine reach down & wiggle the wring going into the front 68way connector. If it takes off & starts to crank you have a burnt terminal in the fuse block. If you remove the front connector (68 Way) there are 2 of these 68 ways in that block. You can look inside at the male terminals you will see one terminal with plastic melted around it.If you see this, that''s your problem!! You will need to find a used Fuse block at junkyard with same Part #.Very important to get same part!! Hope This helps

1993 Saturn SC2 will not crank, but tries to turn over?

You are saying the engine cranks but does not start, right ?
Does it sound like it has compression ? If not could be a broken timing belt.

1993 1.9 saturn sc2 starting problems

Sounds like the the Bendix is bad in the starter, which pushes out the drive gear to engage the flywheel. You'll need to replace the Bendix or the starter. It's a bit tough to get to the starter, it is underneath the intake manifold.

Fuel system

Car is not seeing rpm's. Sounds like a bad crank sensor. The rpms signal the pump to turn on while the vehicle is running.

2001 Saturn SC2 Electrical issue

I had the same problem in a 1997 SC2.  Turns out that finicky/broken door lock/unlock switches were causing an intermittent short.
I removed the 20A fuses to these locks in the switch panel under the radio.  Problem fixed.

97 saturn sc2

I had the same problem with a 97 sc2. The fix for my car was the temp sensor that controls the extra fuel when engine is cold it didn't sense that the engine was warmed up and added extra fuel flooding the engine.
