I have a 2001 Nissan Sentra 1.8se and I am having problems getting my car to start. When I do it will not accelerate properly. It misses really bad. I have replaced the computer, the mass airflow sensor, cam sensor, coil and plugs. This hasn't helped at all. Could it be something else? Maybe the injectors?

i had the haed gasket and water pump and radiator replaced because of over heating. about 3 months ago now just today the car will jump idle from 500-1200 rpms. i give it gas at it will only get up to 2500 the slow come back down. i am also getting a good bit of water from the exaust. check engine light is on. could it be bad fuel and filters? i will get the fuel filters fixed first and see.

Check the fuel filter. Do keep in mind that the fuel system is 'always' under pressure!!! Also check EGR. Your fuel pump must be working or it wouldn't start at all. The C02 sensor could be part of the prob. A real bugga to change! But should be changed every year. Do start with the filter, then move on. You have spent enough already! Frankster016

2001 nissan sentra with QG18 engine. at cold start, it misses for about 10 seconds and then resolves.the MAF is new and plugs cleaned and injectors cleaned via fuel additive. cant imagine what it is

I would have the coolant checked for hydrocarbons. If there are hydrocarbons present you have a bad head gasket. The misfire at startup could be from coolant being in the cylinders. This would also explain the loss of coolant with no visible leaks and the inability for the cooling system to **** in coolant out of the recovery tank.

My 2001 nissan sentra won't accelerate what you think the problem might be?

I would check the fuel filter. They should be changed every 20,000 miles, also the air filter. It maybe time for a tune up. Is the check engine light on?

01 sentra when i accelerate my car doesnt speed up and it makes a wooofing noise

very first thing i would try is a full tune up. This means the fuel filter , air filter, plugs and wires and possibly the coils. If this still does not fix it then try doing an emissions clean on it. What this does is it cleans out the intire fuel system and is very simple to do. Depending on the transmission on whether its a standard or automatic could be a bad tranny.

2001 Nissan Sentra 1.8 l engine won't start.

Is the check engine light on?? You may have a stretched timing chain, but the only way to check that is to remove the valve cover and look at the timing chain tensioner to see if it is way out of the housing. We see chains on those stretch and cause a running issue like the one that you are descibing, because its out of time. Just a pointer, not a solution, but something worth looking into.
