SOURCE: Petrol Fuel Cap door won't open

I had the same problem. Pressing the fuel door unlock button did not work, and I couldn't find any emergency release in the cargo/trunk area. Eventually, I clicked the Lock / Unlock button on the key fob a couple of times and tried again, this time holding the fuel door release button for 1-2 seconds, and it worked. I then sprayed some door lock lubricant into the fuel door lock in case there was something sticking in the mechanism. Don't know if this truly "fixed" the problem, but it's working now.

2014 Holden Cruze. Service required on steering lock why?

It sounds like the antitheft system has become activated for some reason. Did you disconnect the battery? Let it go flat?

How do you reset a Chevy Cruze theft deterrent system? Press the unlock button, get out of the car, but leave the door open, then press the lock button on the door, and shut it. Simple as that.

I can't find the latch to open the bonnet on my 2011 Holden Cruze

I presume you refer to a 2011 Chevy Cruze?
If not this fix applies to most automobiles.

The release lever is located just inside the door low under the wheel and gauges near the kick plate. Reach down under the dash and pull up in the lever to release the hood.

One the hood is released, pull up on it And push the catch until the hood raises freely and then lock it open with the hood prop located inside the motor compartment.

Hi i have a 2009 Holden Cruze CDX and i was just wondering if there is a way of manually opening the doors from the inside without using the FOB. I just don't like feeling locked in. Thanks

Hi Cassandra I believe it can be done by a Dealer via a diagnostic computer a dealer could confirm this for you. However if you were in a bad accident and air bags deploy I believe the doors automatically unlock again a dealer would confirm this with you. If your doors/boot was unlocked whilst you drive when in traffic or waiting at lights you have more of a chance of someone opening your door to pinch a bag or worse. Or even open your boot. Personally I would stick with what you have.

2011 Holden Cruze CDX Petrol, Engine Power Is Reduced message has popped up and I would like to know whey it is happening or what it could be linked to.

Reduced engine power might be caused by a fault that needs investigating with diagnostic equipment but the condition might be linked to delayed routine maintenance and the resetting of the service interval computer when performance might be reduced to protect an unserviced engine.

I have a Holden Barina Hatch 2012 model.

I think the system on that car enables you to open the petrol flap once the drivers door is unlocked (either by pulling the cap open or pressing on the flap).

1. Lock the car using the central locking.
2. Insert the key on the drivers door, turn it once and unlock it. Open the door to check you have unlocked it. Then turn the key in the lock again as if you were unlocking it a 2nd time.
3. Now open the petrol flap as the lock should have released.

Hi Mohammed The only advise I can give you is get it to Holdens. Unfortunately the diagnosis is done on a computer. There are several tests that are carried out and the vehicle has to be plugged into a laptop with a diagnostic program. No quick fix sorry and good luck
