SOURCE: Honda mechanics state that my

your water pump is leaking and most likely you had a small oil leak under there also and now the coolant is washing it out, don't go too long with these leaks because your timing belt is under there and is getting soaked with oil and and coolant this will break or slip off causing major engine damage to result (i.e bent valves) good luck and please rate -jeff

SOURCE: sunroof info

There should be a switch for the sunroof on the left end of the dashboard panel. Push it up to close it and down to open it. It's a 'rocker-type' switch that says ROOF on it.

SOURCE: 1993 Acura Legend Overheating.

This could happen if your fan is indeed weak.  To test disconnect the thermostat of the radiator by removing the terminals near the radiator hose towards the engine.  You should see the fan run at its highest speed, then you can check if your fan has weakened.

SOURCE: My 1995 Acura Legend has a oil light that comes of and on

When your oil light often refered to as a "dummy light" comes on you should immediatly shurt your car off and call a friend to bring you oil. If you have checked your Oil (with the car off and sitting for a few minutes) and it is all the way to the second dot on the dipstick then your oil level sensor needs to be replaced.

SOURCE: My 1995 Acura Legend smokes very bad when at an idle

you think all gaskets and rings will cover everything? 1st thing you must do is determine the source of the smoke. If it only smokes at idle, but never under accel or at cruise, I would HIGHLY doubt its rings. Rings leak worst under pressure...when accelerating or under high load. If it smokes at idle and even more under long decels (like coasting down a long hill) it may very well be valve seals. If it ONLY smokes at idle and never any other time, it may be as simple as plugged oil returns or a PCV problem? Dont start changing things. DIAGNOSE 1st, then change when you have determined a cause.

Have a 1995 Acura legend for door that smokes specially when I started in idle in my driveway smokes what is the right fix for this problem

Needs a valve job. First clue is when you first start it and it smokes that is because as it set oil seeps past the valve guides
and into the combustion chamber

My 1995 acura legend idel goes up and down when you first start and my fans are not coming on i know i need to replace the thermastat does that have anything to do with the idle problem and fan issues?

Hi and welcome to FixYa!

THe thermostat and fan issue has nothing to do with the start up. The MAF (mass air flow) sensor is messed up pretty bad that will surely need replacement. If the MAF is faulty you'll surely have an erratic idle. The MAF is located on the throttle body. Have it replaced and you'll be good.

Hope you find this information helpful enough and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

My 1995 Acura Legend smokes very bad when at an idle. If I replace all the gaskets and the rings, will this most likely fix the problem? I have someone who will do this for me. I do not have the money to...

My 1995 Acura Legend has a oil light that comes of and on. I recently drove it 50 miles when off the highway the car shut down on me. But turns over when trying to restart.

I have a 1990 Acura Legend with the V 6 honda motor. I have a valve that ticks. I adjust the valves or change the oil and it will stop for awhile, It will generally reoccur after I go out on the freeway....

The hydraulic valve lifters are getting stuck. Do this... buy cheap oil on your next oil change and do the change at home. Buy "sea foam' at your local parts shop and put it in the engine along with the old oil. Read the specs on the Sea foam bottle as it will require you to run the car at idle for a certain amount of time.DO NOT DRIVE, JUST IDLE! Then once the time is up drain the old oil and re fill with more of the cheap oil. Drive for 500 miles and proceed to do the process again. Do it twice. If it does not cure it, you need to have the lifters replaced. This works 80% of the time tho. After it's gone, use the good oil. Synthetic or synthetic blend 10W30

Blue smoke

Sounds like bad valve stem seals. Idle is a high vacuum condition in the intake system. That will draw oil past the seals when they are worn. At worst, the valve guides are also worn. Good luck.

Car is over heating back boiling

My 1994 Acura Legend over heats. There isn't any coolant in the oil, nor white steam coming out of the tail pipe. All hoses are tight and no leaks are noted. The fans are working properly. However, there is back boiling in the radiator and loss of coolant...

What is causing this ?
