Most parts stores will have a fuel pressure tester available. This is the best place to start, as presence of fuel at schrader valve does not tell you if pressure is correct. Hate to say it, but without proper test equipment you will have bad luck trying to troubleshoot newer cars. For spark, use a timing light, or a cheap inductive spark checker pen. I got my last one for less than $5.
most likely you have a bad crank sensor or fuel problem you need to check fuel pressure ,if you have enough pressure ,most likely you need crank position sensor,if you don`t have fuel pressure ,it might be your fuel pump relay or the pump, i would start with the relay first very unexpensive. you can also hear the pump if it`s working by cranking the engine and listening rear of the car for a humming sound . good luck

check for fuel pump operation.have someone turn ignition on while you go to rear of car where fuel tank is to listen for fuel pump operation.if not.check fuse and relay.if you hear fuel pump .check ignition system to make sure engine is getting spark.
Try inspecting your vehicle's fuel pump relay. The relay is a sort of "OFF/ON" switch that sends signals to the fuel pump when the ignition switch is turned. If it has failed, the fuel pump will not get a signal to power on.
Sounds like a lack of air/oxygen problem. Just had a similar problem with a Diesel engine, Mercedes C220 CDI. Found the pipe to the Turbo spli/collapsed, so no air to Turbo = no power. Try checking air inlet pipes to Fuel pump. Also once had a problem with a different car dying on me in the outside lane of a motorway. Turned out to be a burned out fuse on the fuel circuit, after the breakdown mechanic's suggestions of maybe need new alternator, new injector pump, maybe new onboard computer. Turned out to be a twopenny fuse!!! Check before you replace anything is my advioce. Go down to your local helpful garage or Mercedes Dealer if they are helpful.
