hello mate.. if it has stopped working you might want to check the battery first.. if you are sure that the battery is fine then consider reprogramming the fob to your car.. here are the steps to follow.. NISSAN

Remote Control Fob Procedures:

The Central Door locking is controlled by the Multi-Remote Control system which controls
the door locking, door super locking and emergency hazard reminders.

When the doors are locked and unlocked the unit flashes the hazard lights once for lock and twice for unlock.

A maximum of four remote controls are allowed to be programmed:

ALMERA
ALMERA TINO
PRIMERA
MAXIMA
MICRA
SERENA
VANETTE CARGO
TERANO II

Ensure all the doors have been unlocked, either by using a good transponder key or remote
control plip key.

Procedure:
1. Turn the ignition switch from Position 0 to ON 6 times within 10 seconds.
2. Next, turn ignition switch to OFF position. Leave key in ignition switch.
3. Wait 2 seconds then the system will enter programming mode and will flash the warning
lights twice.
4. Press and HOLD the unlock button on the Plip.
5. While pressing the unlock button, press the lock button 3 times.
6. Release the unlock button.
7. The warning lights will flash once to indicate successful programming.
8. Repeat procedure 4 to 7 for up to 4 plip key's.
9. When completed turn ignition ON, and the warning lights will flash 2 times.
10. Remove key, and check all plip key's for operation.
NOTE : The programming mode will stop when either the ignition is switch ON, 4 plip keys
have been programmed or no input signal either from the switch or plip keys has been received
for 120 seconds.

car has trouble starting/turning over

I have a 2005 Nissan Sentra which runs perfectly except for 1 issue. Every so often when I go to start the car, the engine will not turn over and it take 2-3 attempts for it to finally start. It always starts eventually by the 3rd try with no turnover probelms. On the 1st or 2nd attempt, it repeatedly turns over and sometimes on the 2nd attempt it held long enough, it will start.

What is weird about this problem is the fact that it does not occur on a regular basis. Sometimes it occurs 1X a day, sometimes 2X a day, sometimes never. It usually happens when the car is started after having sat for a short (>1hr <4hr) period of time. In other words, when I get up in the morning and go to work (after it sat for 8-10 hours overnight), it never happens. And when I leave work in the afternoon (again after having sat for 8-10 hours), rarely happens. It's usually after going somewhere and then leaving after 30 mins or 1 hour when I go to start it that I notice it.

I have added a video of it here (sorry, the sound isn't that loud).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yvV3T8pDLTQ

Also, I took it to my local mechanic who I go to frequently, but he could not identify the problem because he could not get it to occur (since it is somewhat random).

any help is greatly appreciated.

2005 nissan sentra 1.8 liter wont start cold ...

I have a 2005 nissan sentra 1.8 Liter my problem is the car will not start cold ... I have started it before and once warm will start every time ... once it cools off ( like sitting over night ) it will not start ... the car is turning over and sometimes you have to really pump the gas pedal to get it to start ... I thought the issue was with a injector as ive read that a leaky injector can cause such a problem .. i replaced 1 injector that looked horrable very gunked up ... #1 &#3 injector acted like they didnt want to come out .. #4 injector looked clean and even had some gas on it that was clean as well ... usually i would lean to believe that its the coils but as ive found with coils they usally work until warm then theres a problem so i know that thats not the issue ... is it possable that the fuel filter could be the issue ?? is there any known issues with this particular car pretaining to cold starting and or fixes for this issue ??? the car has to be firing on all 4 cylenders due to the car running smoothly when it does start and everytime after till its cold .... what would you suggest that it could be ? is there any tests that i can do to find this problem ???

These vehicles had issues with fuel pressure bleeding down when they sit for a period of time (like overnight). Nissan has issued a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) on this issue.

There is a check valve in the fuel pump assembly that holds fuel in the fuel line so that fuel is readily available to the engine. This valve fails and allows that fuel to slowly drain back to the tank. The reason you have to crank the engine for a long period of time is that the fuel has to be pumped from the tank all the way to the engine- may take 10 seconds or more.

Once you start the vehicle, fuel is available and since the drain back to the tank is slow, restarting after even a few hours will be much easier.

The repair involves replacing the fuel pump "module" assembly (it's a service kit that contains the check valve mentioned earlier). The fuel pump assembly is removed from the tank and disassembled and reassembled with several new parts. This is a dealer-only repair. Depending on your level of expertise, you may be able to perform the repair yourself, but will have to buy the parts from the dealer.

I need a 2005 Nissan Sentra Fuse Box Diagram!?

I need a 2005 Nissan Sentra Fuse Box Diagram, the one in the car.

I'm missing the "Coin Tray" and I'm guessing thats were the diagram is located.

Any site that my have a pick or PDF of one would be great!

the diagram should be on the outside or inside of the fuse panel cover. Not there? You can go to autozone or advance auto and look at there books for free, or you can ask them to print it for you. If you're not happy with that you can stop at a nissan dealer (used) and look at one of their 2005 models, or ask them to help. They will try to get you to trade in though lol.

There should be a little knob inside the trunk that you have to pull. I think its on the driver's side. Once you release that knob you can lift up the backseat recline thing on the back driver's side seat and it folds down. Hope this helps.

how to change a 2005 nissan sentra fuel pressure regulator

Where is the fuel pressure regulator located? How can I change it step by step? I was told it is located on my fuel bar but it is not there- is it in the fuel pump or could it have been bypassed?

If you want to replace the fuel pump regulator you are better off getting the whole fuel pump module I know its expensive. The problem is you went on line and there is a bunch of chatter about the fuel pump causing delayed starts. They are right. There is a TSB Nissan put out this includes the fuel pump and there is no mention of the regulator that I know of.

Wow, looks like I have answered a question like this back on July 26th.
Code 1148 and 1031 are both for the O2 sensor in front of the catalytic converter. The sensor would need to be tested with a scanner and a multi-meter.
