Disable theft mode on 2004 chevy impala
The security, antitheft or lock picture/icon is a visual indication that something in the car's antitheft system is failing. In most GM cars and trucks there is a hidden system that most people are unaware even exists. From the moment you put your key in the ignition, there begins a constant line of communication between your key's security chip or transponder, to the ignition's lock cylinder, and then to the car's TDM (Theft Deterrent Module). These 3 parts are in CONSTANT communication. If the key is in the ignition, then these parts are sending signals to each other. The security light illuminates when that signal gets broken, even just for a second. When the signal breaks, the car misinterprets this as an attempt at theft and goes into antitheft mode. The car thinks its being stolen or hotwired because it is not getting that signal from YOUR specific key. This is why the security light turns on and shuts down your vehicle. This link explains it pretty well.

Tag light is not working.
The fuse labeled REAR PARK LP 15A in the right instrument panel fuse box powers the rear park lamps, and the tag lamps. If your rear park lamps are working then you most likely need to replace the tag lamps (bulbs). Use the following procedure to
replace the lamps.
To Remove:
- Remove the two mounting screws from the license plate lamp.
- Remove the license plate lamp from the rear bumper fascia.
- Remove the license plate lamp socket by turning it counterclockwise.
To Install:
- Install the license plate lamp socket by turning it clockwise.
- Position the license plate lamp to the rear bumper fascia.
- Install the license plate lamp mounting screws.
How to remove air pockets in the cooling system.
When you have air in your cooling system, check for leaking gaskets. Most of the time the head gasket is leaking. and it is just a matter of time the whole gasket blows out. It will cost you because the engine needs revision, once the head gasket blows. Don't drive till a tech has checked your engine.
Is the 04 Impala 3.8 V6 an interference engine?
this is a VERY good engine to own!!! you shouldnt have to replace te water pump unless it goes out,and the timing belt ,on ANY engine ,should be replaced at factory recommended intervals. the mileage on this car is below average. I love this engine...good power, reliable ,easy to work on,and parts are relatively inexpensive.

I cannot lock or unlock my car with my key fob
Test the battery inside key fob, should be at 3 volts, if is less than 3 volts replace the battery. If that does not work you may need to replace the key fob, on this vehicle you can program the key fob through the radio, the car manual shows you how to do this. Before replacing the old key fob you can try to resinc the fob to the car by pressing the lock and unlock buttons at the same time for about 15 sec, if the door locks cycle the the fob will work again.
