Need to take wheel off and check to see if brakes are locking up after applying them if not hub bearing needs replaced

Hubs will be temperate depending on braking. If there is a failure with a wheel bearing or a brake shoe you will experience grinding noises, which is friction and will cause things to get abnormally hot.

What is the voltage reading with the part unplugged and at the connector.

don't recall if Nissan has a drain plug in the lower part of the tank if not its possible you might have to drop the tank unless you can syphon it out

The tank is under the vehicle, directly in line with the filler, attached to the vehicle chassis rail or floor. Not sure on the Nissan pickup, a lot of fuel tanks don't have a drain plug, the method is to syphon as much as you can out through the filler, if that won't work connect an electric pump up to the fuel line at the fuel filter and pump it out

Check for spark on both coils 1 is for exhaust the other intake may need a coil or two or cap & rotor

Put a voltmeter on the battery with the engine running. It should read at least 13.5 volts to know the alternator is working good. If it reads below 13 volts, it is not working good, may not be working at all. What cab electrical circuits are not working? Or are they working now?
