Sounds like a faulty relay its stuck in the on position.It should be in the engine compartment fuse box.

if it sadden off, you had bad charging.check and repair the alternator or replace it.

It is not a Drag Strip car, but it has great acceleration and a smooth and comfortable ride. Have known a few people that have owned them and have repaired a few as well.

sounds like a faulty crank position sensor. its located behind the crank pully. they are known for failing. you will want the front crank seal done at this time also.

P0171 - Fuel Trim System Lean Bank 1

I recommend inspecting these following areas for faults.

1. Inspect the vacuum hoses for splits, kinks,and proper connections.
2. Inspect the crankcase ventilation valve and system for leaks.
3. Inspect the fuel for contaminates
4. Inspect the PCM and sensor grounds. make sure they are clean, tight and in the proper locations.
5. Inspect the air induction system after the MAF sensor section for vacuum leaks as well
6. Inspect for engine mechanical failure.
7. Inspect the bank 1 exhaust for leaks, missing or loose exhaust hardware,
8. Inspect the bank 1 HO2S. Make sure it is installed correctly and the electrical connectors are not touching the exhaust system or ignition wires,
9. Inspect for vacuum leaks that will only affect bank 1, such as the intake manifold area, injector O rings, etc..

If you notice any faults or damaged hardware, replace it asap.

The security light is a visual indication that something in the car's antitheft system is failing. In most GM cars and trucks there is a hidden system that most people are unaware even exists. From the moment you put your key in the ignition, there begins a constant line of communication between your key's security chip or transponder, to the ignition's lock cylinder, and then to the car's TDM. (Theft Deterrent Module) The TDM is what tells your computer that the correct key is being used and that it is "OK" to allow the vehicle to start and run. These 3 parts must be in CONSTANT communication. If the key is in the ignition, then these parts are sending important signals to each other. The security light illuminates when that signal gets broken, even just for a second. When the signal breaks, (normally due to a failing/broken part) the car goes into antitheft mode. The car misinterperates this and thinks its being stolen or hotwired because it is NOT getting that signal from YOUR specific key. There is where the security light turns on and shuts down your vehicle. So basically, if that light is on, your system has some sort of failing part. This can start as an intermittent "no start", to your vehicle not running for days at a time, to the vehicle NEVER starting again. The problem is electrical and computer based, so don't count on an easy reset button, or the problem fixing itself. The hard part is isolating which part is the problem. You can spend a thousand dollars through a mechanic very easily. I have had great luck with bypassing the entire system. This way the problem will never return. It actually CAN'T ever return because it is eliminated. This can also be done yourself at a much cheaper cost. Read through this link very carefully. You have a short somewhere, you need to take it to the shop to check the electic syterm.

Check the voltage on the altanater, air filter, and check for vacuum leaks. Hope this helps.

Dirty mass air flow sensor or clogged fuel filter or a weak fuel pump.First i would take the mass air flow sensor off and clean it with a non-chlronated brake cleaner wait 10 mminutes then re-install.If problem still exist then trplace the fuel filter.Then check your fuel pressure it should be 48-55 psi with key on and engine off.If its not within these specs replace the fuel pump.

you might just need some anti-freeze

sounds like a loose ground wire...# 10 on the diagram located under the kick panel on the left side of brake pedal . rug needs to be lifted to see panel hanging on side like an old phone.. unscrew ground wire, clean with wire brush, spray with lubricant and put it back/

A rapid clicking noise when you turn the key would be the starter solenoid trying to engage. The most common cause of this problem is a weak battery. Make sure your battery is fully charged, then try to start it. If this works get your charging system checked out first. Get a "load test" done on the battery. It may be starting to go. Also the alternator should be putting out 14.2-14.5V when the engine is running. If it's lower, the alternator is starting to wear out and needs to be overhauled. Make sure your battery cables are tight and the terminals are free of corrosion (green gunk).If you need to go further, you only have to follow the positive (red) cable from the battery. It will go directly to the starter solenoid, which is on top of the starter. Hope this helps.

The only thing that comes to mind is the catalytic convertor in the exhaust system.It can become restricted,reducing flow in the exhaust system,which also reduces engine power.These convertors run at fairly hot temperatures,and the extreme heat and conditions aggravated,or overloaded it.It's not very expensive to have it checked at a reputable muffler shop.I have seen extreme instances where this caused parts of the exhaust system to turn red,glowing hot.
