Sounds like a bad 4wd switch.if it has the push button switch on the dash.

could be as simple as your gage isn't working or it could be your oil pump needs to be replaced, if it isnt burnning oil and isnt loosing oil more than likly it's your gage ,if the pump's not working you won't get oil; to the engine and will over heat and could lock up

There are 2 knock sensors located below the upper intake manifold. With the intake removed follow wires to the middle of engine near the front and back. The sensors are recessed in the lower valley pan and covered by some type of insulating material. The rear sensor usually fails due to water working past the insulating material and filling the hole with water and covering the sensor, causing it to rust. Remember to replace the upper intake gaskets and injector o-rings. You dont want any other driveabiliy issues after this repair.

check the power leads, then fuse/relays then switch

Sounds like the Knock sensor bolt has been over torqued.
