Dirty fuel injectors will cause this sort of symptom. Purchase a bottle of Chevron Techron fuel injection cleaner and put it into the fuel tank. If dirty injectors are the problem, this should clear it up in a few days. What is the mileage on this car. Above 60,000 miles, sludge will sometimes cause the idle control motor to stick, which will also cause this problem. If the injector cleaner does not work, remove the idle control motor and clean it with aerosol carburetor cleaner.

the drain plug is hidden it is located on the lower side of the radiator and that would on the passanger sideof the radiator....all you need is a 1/4 drive arachet and 12mm socket

The problem is intermittent and might not have shown up when you had it in for service. You need to have it scanned when the light is on take it to autozone or similar when the light is on they will scan it for free.
