It ccan be done but you need a tool to remove the trim not all the trim is replaceable and you can buy from the dealer the parts you need to do it but you don't want to do it yourself unless you don't mind getting your paint scratched up.

i just solved this on my A6 quattro check the level in your expansion tank (left side of engine bay) if level is low then top up with long life dual anti-freeze/coolant,saves any probs if we have a harsh winter, if full pump on the radiator feed to help relieve poss blockages and make sure water is flowing through the system

change your battery, the cells are completely dead.

follow the bottom water pipe leaving the radiator. they usually sit behind the fan and cam belt. quite a story to change!!!

If you have the pistons pushed back as far as you can, try this: Make sure that the mounting bolts that attach the caliper to the rotor assembly are not in the way and that you have the right brake pads for the right side. The bolts are attached to the caliper and are long in a protective boot. Sometime they slide over just enough to not allow you to install correctly. Make sure to push them out of the way and look to make sure they are not hanging up on them. Hope this helps, let me know if it  does and I will see if I can help some more....

Thhis noise could be a mutitude of issues. If you have some dash board spray, try spraying some on the top pully staying away from the fans and belts. Also position your face away from the expected spray. Water can be used but it not as affective. Then let me know what happened. Later DRRXR :)

I have had this problem several times and first was solved by claring leaves from two drains under battery. Second time I did the pollen filter thing with silicon as hophouse did above, it is looking good so far.

There is a button on the bottom of your windshield wiper control arm. Push it once to turn on or off the computer display. Hold it to clear the current information. At the end of the arm is a "up/down" button for changing which info you would like to see (miles to empty, current mpg, etc.)

what was slipping , not told clutch. ? no M/t box here. brakes dead? no. automatic with TC , sure. so fluid leaks there are 1 of 3 kinds ! engine oil (shades of brown)?? ATF red fluid/???? or green antifreeze leaking from say rear freeze/core plug or from intake manifold leaks. coolant or water core heator core leaks or any water hoses leak. I run Prestone and is GREEN today. asking the blind to find leaks is OVERTHETOP. TCC errors, most are bad solenoid inside the box. TC clutch lockup sol. i bet you mean the A/T box slips in all gears?, PRNDL R, D and L> or only higher gears in drive slips, called FLARE or False neutrals causes are huge. for slip 20 year old box. no miles told on Odometer. dash 250,000 miles>? fluid too low sure is if leaking out. (TC seals or pump seals) fluid smells burnt or looks like tar on tip of A/t dipstick a/T Filter clogged. 25 seals inside box leak inside and add up to PUMP overload. bad pump a/t or its regulator bad clutch packs in the box or its slave servo bad. bad shift solenoids , or TCM bad. shifter linkage bad, or cable if is that. or not adjusted by the book some cars only reverse works others, only reverse fails huge list of failures symptoms on any A/t box. not told you.

If the lights work, why did you buy a new battery that you didn't need? A car like an Audi A6 can't be fixed by 'guessing'. It is what I call the 'Let's try replacing this' method of car repair. Modern cars need electronic diagnosis using the OBD2 port that is provided for that purpose. You need an auto electrician, his pro grade scan tool computer will show where the problem is. Did you check fuses and relays with your digital multimeter? Erasing the codes doesn't fix the problem. You will need to find out what is causing the misfire. What EXACTLY is it doing when you crank it? Does nothing? Just turns really slowly? Turns at regular speed and nothing else? Turns, tries but won't idle? Comment below and I'll see what help I can give you.

call a local auto parts store and ask them if they can provide you with one for that old of a car

Needs to be scanned for fault codes form the transmission module. Need to start there first. If it is a CVT trans you will most likely need a new trans.
