it's a system, not a single part,
it has the form of this , throttle by wire, (google that and read)
2 throttle pedal, TPS like POT.s (throttle angle)
2 TPS sensors in throttle body (redundant for safety)
1 TV throttle valve motor in the TB.
and the PCM brains. (and software to match)

that was 1st hit, in google.
why not post symptoms first. then ask so we can be on same page.
no? or just curious, why not google it or youtube it?
It's accessible. Plenty of room to get the regulator out. Pull the panel. Take a look at it. They aren't hard to remove. You will have to get the window down to remove the bolts. Push down on the window as you crank it down. You can do it.
the 4wd defeats/changes the ABS , just as the operators guide tells you.
i don't understand this post at all, my guess is you have the ABS warning stuck on, all the time. (forget 4wd)
right and dont know why, ?
The brakes are bad. get a brake job or inspect them all.
that includes all parts for damage and conditions, (ask or get it dont by any brake man... lots to do there.
The ABS system is failing , scan it. SCAN THE ABS NOW.
There is air in the system. and worse. up stream of ABS modulator
That means the system has discovered a malfunction. It then records a trouble code and disables the system. You will need a professional scan tool capable of accessing the ABS module.
here it is, BCM the causes are :lamps shorted. right side of car if is USA car.blinker switch lever is bad.scan the PCM see if lamp fails or lever fails.or BCM bad.not scanning it is missing THE BOAT big time. OBD2 scanner.any shop in the USA can scan your car even for free some do.ask em. no fuseno relayno blinker flasher modulethe below computer does all that like magic. BCM body brain. TIPMnote the blinkers have regulator or each side. this post assumes nothing else on the car is failing (all electrics things)
fuses are located in the engine compartment. next to the Engine Air Filter Housing behind the battery, in front of the suspension strut tower. for a picture/diagram try going to this website, it maybe helpful; www.jeeppatriot.com
You can wire the 12v lighter plug directly to battery voltage and a good ground to ground it. You'll need an inline fuse though to protect against surges etc (10 amps would be good).
I take help from online websites that have this service like helping in repair some like reliable-store have instant help.. others are a bit slow which I don't prefer... rest is up to u.. U can also get free manuals
i would avise having the diagnostic equipment connected whilst driving car as this is an intermitent fault, this would need to be done by a qualified mechanic , and will show what is causing the problem if the OBD show everything is ok
I recently tried the DIY service and repair manuals from a website and it actually helped me repair transmission problem in my
jcb 3cx site-master. it wont move forward or reverse, engine is good both solenoids for forward and reverse work.
I don't have much technical knowledge but I just followed it step-wise, and works perfect! got it from www.reliable-store.com
