2005 Arctic Cat 500 Automatic Model A2005BBM4BUSG 4 wheel drive not working. Light indicates 4x4 but front wheels not pulling even with differential locked.

Ckeck the drive clutch spring.Sounds like it is broke.Might be hard to see.

Charge up the battery fully, check the primary battery connections to everything - especially the starter. Check for voltage at the starter solenoid when you push the starter button. Check for good ground from battery to frame & battery to crankcase.

Sounds like the gear is stripped in the box by the front housing

I had this problem with Artic Cat 500 and after ensuring the electric shift was working I discovered the mounts for the front drive shaft had broken and would not allow the shaft to engage. I suspect mine was caused by plowing but any number of things could break or bend these.
