Hey Jack: Don't know which piece of trim you're working on but it seems that most plastic trim is held on with plastic tabs. If you can slide a small scraper (drywall knife?) along behind the trim, you should find the attachment points. A firm but gentle pry should remove it. The fords also used a retainer that had a pin in the centre, If you use the tip of a knife to pry the pin out, the trim will then come off. Be patient, they're easier to put back together if the parts aren't broken!

you have to ck the neutral safety switch sounds like you linkage moved out or position , this is very unsafe and should be fixed right away

They have a transmition position switch that can go bad. so even though it is in park, the computer is not seeing that it is. the switches are not that expensive, sometime hard to get to though. but that is where i would start

4.6 Northstar V8. It is located on the rear of engine (driver side) in front. It is in the the water pump housing cover. Remove air box and intake tube and bottom radiator hose. 2 bolts(believe 10mm) on thermostat housing.
