you have 2 choices re tripods. 1. a normal pan and tilt photographic tripod, cheap and easy to use. 2. a Equatorial tripod, much more expensive and more difficult to use but can be setup to track the movement of the earths spin. I use a photo tripod as its easy to use and quick setup.

most binoculars can be bought from camera shops along with telescopes. Try the one closest to you and if they haven't got what you want may be the next best thing is to buy a new strap.

Most likely a dead battery. Easily replaceable at home. The factory won't tell you that.

The mount has a 1/4-20 screw that fits most camera equipment. If you have the scope (spotting scope) it should have that hole in the bottom of the mounting ring. If the screw is missing from the window mount then most 1/4-20 tripod screws will work or you may substitute a cap screw and flat washer, to work with an Allen wrench for tightening.

Most tripods do not come with manuals. Never have, so I doubt you'll find one. Try taking it to a camera repair shop and they can tell you how to use it or if it needs some parts.

The warranty is expired unless you bought with extended Square Trade warranty, etc. The newer model 78-4407C is available for only 21.49 and shipping from B&H Photo Video Bushnell Car Window Mount so the cost of repairs should be weighed against that price. Consider drilling and tapping the hole to install a Helicoil or similar repair insert which will re-thread back to the original size, probably 1/4-20 machine screw. All sizes are available at auto parts stores and come with the needed tap - which may be a custom size for the insert.
