It may be a loose solder on the circuit board where the spade connector is set into the printed board. Not easy to see but there may be a hairline crack. I've repaired this issue with a small soldering iron. From the factory wires are secured by zip ties or some sort of fastener, and pulled tight. This sometimes does harm to the board. That red light may have some small letters next to it on the board indicating a fault, and you moving the wire was actually a loose connection that reset it. And the loose connection had nothing to do with the main issue at hand. The red blinking light may be a trouble code also. Count the blinks, or if continuous, may give a fault code. Most pool heaters I've worked on have issues with high limit, meaning the unit faults due to overheating. And many times I've had the maintenance guys back flush at the pool filter/pump system, cycle off the heater(furnace) at the main power disconnect or breaker, and power it back up. Simply turning off the switch on the unit may not reset it. Be safe and ensure all wires are place back to their original position and that all voltage is turned off when servicing. And that all run capacitors are properly discharged before servicing. Hope this helps!

The safety valve isn't opening .It's very possible that a spider is trapping the opening of the orifice.

Don't bother pall,
I had the same problem. The thing is that acer no longer maintain their flatbed scanners because they sold the brand for scanners to benq. Not a big surprise, huh?! ;)
So there are no such thing as a flatbed acer scanner driver for vista.

the control module is the problem it allows the heater to come on then turns off power to the gas valve.if you are not getting enough water flow the high limit is turning the heater off then your problem is flow.
