The camera was plugged into the wrong charger and now it won't do anything. is there any way to fix it? it is a Kodak M893is.

Camera won't charge

sometimes the charger can become loose in either the camera or the plug so try buying a new plug and if it still doesn't work then it is a problem with the camera and you will have to ask the people you bought it from

Hello Pam, You have either a faulty contact for the battery or your battery is suffering from age. After time these camera batteries lose their capacity. Try a new fully charged battery.

Kodak easyshare m550 won't turn on unless it is plugged into wall. Charge light does not go on. Camera won't turn on when unplugged and won't load or download, or do anything on the computer...

This is happening to mine as well. I don't know what to do!

who bought this Kodak camera had the same problem!!!! i bought it.. then couple of months past..and would not turn on! I tried everything!! with my phone\'s charger it finally charged ..i let it charged for 3 hours then it still wouldn\'t turn on! :(

! never! buy this again!

I can't find a way to change the shutter speed on my Kodak M893Is and I've looked in the menu. Help?

The only change you can make in the shutter speed is to choose how long you want the shutter to stay open for long time exposures. If you want to make changes to things like shutter, aperture, etc. you need a much more expensive camera or even a DSLR.

well you should lurn from this,,only use the charger that comes with the unit,,,im sorry to tell you this but you more that likley have done your camera in was the charger you pluged into your camera the same voltage and polarity as the cameras normal charger?
if it was in revers you would have cooked the camera

Use a card reader to download your pictures to a folder you create on your desktop.

How do i set the date on the kodak m893is camera

go to your menu button, then scoll thru the different features...you'll see the date and time and you can set it there...

Now it looks like you have a problem here. Different cameras/chargers have different polarities. If you try to charge with wrong chargers then there is a possibility of the batteries getting damaged or sometimes may even explode, so be very careful in future. Some times the power control board can also get damaged and may require repairs. At this juncture you can try hoping for the best to replace the batteries. On many occasions this has solved the problem.
