Have you checked your drivers? Go to control panel - system - device manager Or control panel - type in device manager (depending on your os)
If there is a question mark beside your ethernet controller than you need to update the driver. If you have the disc pop it in the computer and then right click the ethernet controller and click update driver and then follow the wizard through and that should fix it if the driver isn't there. If you haven't got the disc you will need to download the driver from the manufacturers site.

If you have no internet because the ethernet controller was not installed, you will need to download the ethernet drivers from another computer.
To do this, you will need either the motherboard model or the ethernet controller model. Search google for your motherboard model, and then on the drivers page, find "LAN drivers". Download the drivers, save them to a usb and transfer and install them to your pc.
