Hi! My touchpad for Samsung R530 isn`t working properly. One day I turn on my laptop and it`s not working like it should work. I can move the mouse pointer but, it works like on secondary click.

Hi, the laptop touch pads have an icon near the clock or u can find it on the control panel, there is a check mark that said" mouse reverse"or "mouse look up" or something like that,uncheck it to work properly and download the latest driver,

Touch pads will wear out and require replacement after a while. If you are in warranty, get it repaired by a service center, if you are out of warranty call around for the best price. Sometimes it's not even worth doing the repair and you should just buy a mouse.

have you disabled the mouse by mistake
have a look at the top row of key and see if there is a key with a hand pointing to the keys
this key usually disables or enables the touchpad/mouse and sometimes you have to press the Fn switch at the same time

Go into Start > Control Panel > Mouse and check the macro settings for your left and right mouse buttons. If those are fine, then check the macro settings in the program you are using. Make sure your mouse isn't set to do the same thing for both clicks.

If that doesn't work, go to Samsung's website and download the latest drives for your touchpad. Reboot the machine and check it again.

Please press the Fn and F11 keys together.
This should enable the touchpad.

Samsung freeze problem.. Basically it is buggered and you can arrange for it to be collected by a sub contractor and they will send back a fixed or new one.. The samsung number to phone is 08457267864 If you really need to know what it is you'll just have to wait for it back. Generally speaking for this complaint, it'll be the motherboard which they will replace or renew !?!?! Either way you'll get a working one back.. Samsung have very good after care.

if you installed an external mouse, it would over-ride the touchpad.
try removing the external mouse, and tap the touchpad twice as if you were double clicking it.
also you could try re-installing the touchpad device driver, usually synoptics or similar.

I guess that some settings with touch pad might have changed.

try accessing the touch pad controls in the control panel.
may be its called synaptics ....

Try to connect a external mouse.
If it does work ok with the external mouse . It means that their is a problem the touchpad.
Who can take it to a service center for repair or you can use the external mouse.

Most likely you have to double tap. Depending on the laptop make, sometimes double tapping isn't intergrated.
