I have the same problem. My phone is locked and after a soft reset or even a hard reset, the screen does not react anymore. So, I can't use it anymore. Is there a solution for this?

SOURCE: Htc touch charging port stop working

It may be caused by dirt ingress in the port, check for dust and clean out with a soft fine paintbrush (like an artist brush) soaked in pure alchohol, or vodka! Short of that solution, purchase a charger of ebay and place battery in the rear to charge.-

SOURCE: HTC Touch screen not responding!

This is a common problem with many touch screen phones. There are about three reasons this can happen that I know of:

1. Hardware issue. Needs to go in for repair. Hopefully under warranty still.

2. Needs to be re-flashed with the OEM ROM. This is not likely, since you've already Hard Reset, but worth a try.

3. The EASIEST and FIRST thing to check is to run a 'business card' around the edge of the screen between the case and screen. Dirt or other objects can easily get wedged into that area and hold the screen pressed down. This would prevent a press from any other area of the screen. Also, a screen protector that has shifted might cause this. Hopefully this is it, as it's a simple fix!

Good luck!

SOURCE: my htc touch smart phone will not go past the windows mobile strt

Unfortunately, I can't see any other way to recover your device than hard resetting it. Of course you know that a hard reset will set your device to its factory defaults, thus deleting every program you have installed, as well as you personal data. Hope you have a recent backup, to be restored after the hard reset procedure. Anyway, to do it, press and hold both the green Send/Call and the red End buttons, and, whilst keeping them pressed, briefly press the reset pin (at the botton of the device) with the stylus pen. Keep pressing the keys until a warning message comes up. Release the buttons, and press ENTER.
Hope you are able to sort your problems out.
Regards, Carlos
Cheers! Carlos

Screen locked on my htc mp6900. I don't know how to unlock it because the touch screen is not working. How do I get the touch screen to work?

You probably need to replace the digitizer pad. That's the outer screen. The actual touch screen. I did mine today, works great!! Easy to replace on your own, also. I got it for 11 dollars on dealxtreme.com good luck!!
