After driving in town for 20-40 min every time I turn it makes a faint high pitched noise. After another few minutes it will start making the noise when I accelarate. If I turn the wheel a hard right or left the noise is very loud. Just had the ps flushed, but it's still making the same noise.

You may need to check the belts on your car's power steering section. Make sure the belts are tight and not worn out. Check for cracks on the belt and if loose, tighten it. There is also a product called Automotive belt dressing that you can spray on the belt to make it stick more easily to the pulley it is supposed to turn.
I wonder if you have a fan belt that is screeching? They get glazed over and eventually wear out and make a high whine and screeching noise. This might...be what it is
Without more information it is hard to tell. Is the humming noise variable depending on the speed that you are driving or constant? Could be ground, radio, pulley, compressor noises hard tell.
The whine sounds like the power steering or the alternator, as far as the idle issue goes try this clean the intake throttle body and idle speed control valve with carb spray, disconnect battery for 5 min. then reconnect and drive a few miles to reset idle strategy. The car will try to die when you spray the intake, hold the idle up to prevent that, use at least 1/2 the can of carb spray.
Is that an easy/cheap fix?
