I suspect, because of what you have explained, that the unit has actually totally failed, this is often caused by voltage spikes and interference from the ignition system it can and does cause unsophisticated units to fail due to this, or it simply may have spontaneously failed too?
Usually alarms have a "Bypass' I suggest either you activate this or remove/disable the Alarm, until you can sort the problem out. The manual should help.
To my experience, it is unlikely that this will be a DIY thing? A good Alarm, or Auto-electrician, should be able to sort your problem out, of course ask for a "Quote" before proceeding.. It may even be simpler to accept that it has failed and to simply install a new maybe even better unit? as often the cost these days of "repair" can quickly escalate in costs, so this will have to be weighed up.
