The Maps File for the Upload is expired

Is there any way that I can just send a DVD to you to get the maps data. I've been trying to buy one from the support company, but I haven't received word back yet. I'll be happy to pay you for it.

Can i upload any type of digital maps to the GPS

Units that provide fullmapping capability cannot use the standard file formats used by thedigital map publishers for on-screen mapping and instead use in-builtvector maps (base map data). These units will generally allowadditional maps to be uploaded but these are only available from themanufacturer, in a proprietary specific file format, so there is thepotential for some lack of flexibility when choosing to buy a mappingGPS unit. Garmin and Magellan are the two major manufacturers whosemapping GPS unitsuse proprietary only maps. Having said all this however, you can stilluse other non-proprietary digital maps but not for the purpose ofloading the map to the screen, but for the transfer of attributes toyour GPS (eg. waypoint file). To transfer waypoints and other datafiles to your GPS you will require mapping software.

Can not download map data for fatal application error

One solution is to visit C&C wireless and pay over $100 for a map update or even send them your unit for even more $. see http://www.finedrive-acc.com/shop.cart?action=ITEM&prod_id=F400-08CP

The other solution was to send it to Fine Digital but they closed their doors in the US so they no longer support us customers. Because of this I made a DVD with map data I purchased from them before they closed and I added much better instructions; this DVD updates the firmware in the unit and loads the last map data issued to the SD card. you would need a PC with a DVD drive and SD card reader to use it. you can find these DVDs on ebay for $18 which basically covers my costs only.

Problem with my garmin c310

Garmin do send out update DVD maps for certain products. If it was an older unit, you maybe entitled to a free update. Simply get the Mapsource DVD. upload the maps to your PC and then transfer onto your Garmin unit.

Alternatively is to buy the DVD, which would be an advantage as it may offer additional maps to what you already had...ball park €60-70 Euro I think...Check the Garmin site...

FineDrive 400 Map Data

its impossible to email or post online due to the size of a couple of the files. I created a new dvd with instructions and automatically loading firmware update and are selling these on ebay for basically the cost of labor and materials, fine digital used to get $150 for an upgrade dvd... if you search ebay for finedrive dvd you should see it.
