Hi k jeffrey510...
Before you jump right to the heating element you may want to check a few of the things below.
The way to check the heating element is included in the instructions below:

ALWAYS UNPLUG YOUR DRYER BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO DO ANY WORK ON IT.
Check to make sure you are getting full 220 Volt power to the dryer, if you are then:
Check your Wiring
Often the main wiring connection from the house, at the dryer, burns and the connection breaks. If this has happened to your dryer, you need to replace the power cord and the terminal block inside the dryer to which the wire is attached.
Check the Door Switch
If the door switch or the door-switch actuator is defective, the dryer won't work and you need to replace the failed component. The switch is inside the dryer main housing near the door frame. Sometimes you need to raise or open the top or front of the dryer to reach the switch. Check for continuity you should have none with door open, and should have a reading when closed. If not replace the door switch.
Check to make sure you heating problem is not a lint build up in the discharge hose or the dryer,as this condition can cause heater/thermistor problems such as overheating of the heating coil leading to failure of the coil and burnout of the thermostat/thermistor due to overheat.
Remove the back/or front just under the door of the machine and try to locate the air duct going from the blower to the drum. Normally inside/outside the air duct you will find the heating coil and the thermostats/thermistors.
>>>>>Once you have located the heating coil, remove the two wires from it and check the coil with an ohm meter across the two terminals of the coil.
You should read continuity across the terminals, if not you will need to replace the coil as it is faulty.<<<<<
If the heating coil is ok, then:
You can check the thermostat/thermistor one at a time by removing the two wires and taping them together with electrical tape.
If you have an ohm meter then you can test the thermostat/thermistor/thermal fuse,
then you do not have to tape the wires together as described above.
If the coil heats up then replace the thermostat/thermistor/thermal fuse as it is faulty.
DO NOT LEAVE THE WIRES TAPED TOGETHER AFTER THE TEST AS THIS COULD CAUSE A FIRE BECAUSE YOU HAVE REMOVED THE SAFETY.

If the thermal fuse overheats the dryer will not operate. It's located on the blower housing. It cannot be reset. A vent clogged with lint can cause it to overheat. You can test it with an Ohm meter or continuity checker, if no continuity, replace it)
Right after replacing a dryer element, always run the dryer on 'air fluff' / 'no heat', and go outside to verify there's plenty of air coming out your vent system.
If the vent's clogged, that new element can burn out very quickly.

Samsung Dryer dv203aes/xac will not heat. Drum is rotating and lint was cleared from exhaust.

Check the following:
1. Does it have 220 volts (yes it runs, but dryers run on 110 volts)?
2. Check the heating element and the safety thermostats located on the heat element canister. Low air flow from any restriction like lint build up or mashed ducting or blocked air exhaust vent cap can either trip the safety stats or burn out the element. Clean dryer and exhaust ducting thoroughly and replace bad parts before placing back in service. Poor air flow is the number one problem with "No Heat" dryer issues.

Model #dv203aes/xac. it lights up the controls but it just counts down not spininng or heat.

Check for goop gum or junk on the wet sensor inside the dryer under back side of filter. If something is blocking dampness, the dryer analog monitor on the pc will send power to the count down timer for energy savings.

Change element in a samung dv665j

Usually, one takes the rear cover off revealing the element area. I doubt if the heating element is burned out. Typically the small thermostat or thermal fuse link blows before the heating element goes. You would have to see the diagram of your model online. Most sites have the exploded parts view of that section online. If you don't have a meter tester you may have to replace all 3. Some models have them all tied into 1 board. This site has video troubleshooting. http://www.repairclinic.com/RepairHelp/How-To-Fix-A-Dryer/8-160-1067262-/Samsung-Dryer-doesn-t-heat-DV665J Samsung Dryer Doesn Heat

My samsung dryer dv330aew/xaa wont heat up is there a reset switch?

you can check the element with a multi meter for continuity. may also want to check the hi limit thermostat and the cycling thermostat, do u have full voltage at the terminal? sometimes a tripped breaker will give you half voltage say 110 instead of 220 and what u get is enough power to run the dryer motor but not the heat as it takes a full 220 to run heat

No heat model dv665jw/xac

Element or thermal trip on element, you will need to test them with a meter, as to which one, But if thermal trip gone, why, could be element on way out.

Dryer runs, but does not heat on any setting

Your dryer heating element has gone bad and needs to be replaced. You can replace it if you are somewhat handy. You can purchase a heating element from your local appliance store and it will have directions that you can follow from a "handy person" perspective. However, please be sure to disconnect the dryer from its power source prior to attempting any repair. Good luck.

Heating element gone in our kenmore dryer

Hi, Without having a model # so I can see the exact dry style you have, This is how to get to the most popular style element. UNPLUG the dryer! Remove the rear panel of the dryer and locate the element on the right hand side. Plug the dryer back in and test to see if there is 240V going to the element posts. If there is voltage, but no heat, change the element. If it does not, you need to test the thermostats for continuity. If any of the thermostats are open, replace it. I hope this helps you.
Please let me know if this help or if I can assist you further.

Thanks
